I've definitely had this from classmates, and occasionally family. "Why aren't you eating?" Because it isn't mealtime. "Why aren't you eating REAL food?" I think my piece of fruit is more real than your Brakes Bros cafeteria meat product. "If you're watching your weight, just look at me!" I don't recall ever insulting your…

1. oatmeal - Plain rolled oats, in muesli or yoghurt or some such. 2. toast - I probably wouldn't. 3. ice cream sundae - Not really. 4. frozen yogurt - Vanilla, strawberry, mint, or good chocolate. 5. popcorn (flavor) - Nope. 6. chocolate candy - Dark chocolate. 7. fruity candy - Nope. 8. muffin - The butterable toasted…

I tried to, when I had tonsillitis, but I panicked about weight gain and went back. So, not too well.

I seriously doubt you burnt 2000 calories. What were you using to track them? Gym machines certainly overestimate, as does MFP. I'm not entirely certain it's physically possible for most people to burn that from exercise in one day.

I sometimes add nuts, celery, cous cous, turkey, and/or hummus. If I'm cheating a little, chutney with the turkey, though by that point it's ceased to be a salad and become a weapon of mass fattening. :P

I've never really liked soft drinks, not since I was 7-8, but my recent attempts to give up coffee have been disastrous. I tried when I was 16 because my doctor thought that it might contribute to my migraines, but gave up pretty quickly because of the headaches and lethargy, which I only recently figured out must have…

I hadn't noticed any pattern to when it does or doesn't happen, but, now that I think of it, it never happens indoors or in the summer, just when I'm running in winter. This is probably it. Thank you!

To me, the weight loss ipso facto is the reward. There are things that I'd only ever do if I weighed less, though, such as getting a tattoo, that I plan on doing. Something subtle - I'm considering a quote from my favourite poem in a small monospace font on my back, to the side of my spine. Also, a serious wardrobe upgrade.

Try washing them down with a glass of water, as you would with headache pills. I'm always slightly nauseous when I take my multivitamins, etc. without water, but fine when I gulp them down with water.

Another bump for later; MFP needs thread bookmarking.

Be mindful of what you eat. Don't eat anything without thinking - that's how I usually eat things that are terrible for me. Where do you most often go off track? At home, or when you're out with friends? If you usually overeat when you're out, budget your calories before you go out to leave room, or vice versa. If you do…

Not as far as I know; because I don't quote reply to a post doesn't mean I haven't read it, just that I'm waiting for someone else to post so I don't double-post, which's discouraged on most forums. Sorry! I prefer to weigh up all of the advice I get. Thank you for your advice!

Sitting in the cafeteria eating a packed lunch is incredibly awkward, because we have to sit on an allocated table if we're eating packed lunches. Apparently, this is so the staff can check if what we're eating is healthy. We also aren't allowed to eat them outside the cafeteria.

I'll definitely keep that in mind - thanks! I ate the panini simply because it was there. I could have eaten more fruit or vegetables, but the panini happened to be there. I'll try to avoid carbs for the rest of the day - I'm eating chicken for dinner, so that should raise my protein:carb ratio.

I know; I had a habit of eating whatever I wanted for the taste, and compensating by not eating very much. I also hate the food in my school's cafeteria (I'm 18, but I'm in the last year of high school because of when my birthday falls and how the school system takes students in in my area), so I often don't eat lunch on…

I regretted that the moment I ate it. I was going to have two slices of turkey, but I had a relative over unexpectedly, and gave them the last slice. I should've just stopped there. Thanks for the advice! :)

Oops, sorry - I thought I had! It's public now. :) (I know my eating habits before today were utterly appalling, but I'm putting that behind me.)

Before I started losing weight, I once ate about half a box of Cadbury Mini Rolls in one sitting. Since starting losing weight, my worst binge, not counting the unknown amount of cake I ate yesterday while trying not to insult someone's baking, was when I went to a party that I didn't plan on going to and ate four slices…

Obligatory Lachowski I'd also picspam Robert Redford in the 70s, but I feel those of us on slow connections wouldn't appreciate it, so have this.

3 bananas per week? I think I'd die of banana withdrawal. I eat bananas in some form - slices or the actual fruit - every day. They're the main reason that my carbs are always so high, sadly. :(
-
I actually did that (not sure I should be saying on a public board that I actually did that), but I wanted to be certain - I didn't know how the diameter had been measured, taking into account apple shape, tape measure vs. ruler, etc. Thank you, though!

5'4" ~110 UK 4-6 So far, I'm proud. :)

Whenever I go out - to class, or volunteering, or shopping, or an appointment, or anything at all - I buy 3-6 (depending on size) bottles of water on the way, and try to finish them all by the time I get back. My record's 225cl in three hours. Otherwise, I find that I just forget to drink any; I don't really feel thirsty,…

What, nobody's said Radiohead? I know they're considered an 00s band, with Kid A and so on, but OK Computer is an amazing 90s album.

I love Greek yoghurt. I eat it almost every day. Below 5% fat can be hard to find in my area, though. Does anyone else sometimes put berries and oats in theirs?
-
Thank you! I might post pictures of how oversized last year's jeans are on me now?

I've never really drank very much soda, even as a little kid, but I drink a lot of black coffee and espresso-derived drinks. I find that, paradoxically, *not* drinking coffee for too long gives me headaches, weird vision, and irritability, plus I just love the taste of good coffee, so I don't think I'll be giving that up…

I've never done cheat days - at least, not intentionally. I have done fast days, and find that they work, but everything's best in moderation, including fasting.

1400 calories in one meal?! Eek. I don't think I could eat that without feeling nauseous. Or, rather, I'm scared that I could eat that without feeling nauseous. Sometimes I like to think that the restaurant industry is conspiring with the medical industry to sell more gastric bands, haha.
