I cannot stress this enough to people go get fitted and spend the money. I made my husband go get fitted and he doesn't even question me now. I can almost guarantee you wont have shin splints anymore..the right shoes are SO Vital to your running.

That's a beautiful and yummy looking breakfast! If it eases your fears any i'm 5'2 and i eat at 1900 daily and i workout 3-5 times a week running and doing jillian michaels dvds.... stay at home mom so other than that im sedentary. I've lost 40lbs gained back 5 over xmas when we moved....

I personally would eat more calories...i'd say like 1650....try it for a few weeks before you change back again i think you may need to eat some more

I would personally eat more. You are supposed to eat more than your BMR...BMR is essentially what your body would burn if you stayed in bed all day.

I would set your TDEE with your calorie burn already accounted for. I eat at about 1900...working out 3-5 days a week. My BMR is about 1450. You need to eat above your BMR. I like having exercise calories already accounted for.

dalesd do you intend to eat that way for the rest of your life? i'd much rather focus on learning to eat healthy then following something strict like that forever...and because atkins is certain restrictions you are more likely to gain the weight back when you go back to "eating normal"

Give about 2 weeks. For a lot of ppl this works...I think based on your stats the upped calories are a lot better. I ate 1800 an im shorter than you an lost 40 lbs an now im stalled
