Best. Posting. Ever.

I don't know how you're doing your calories, but if you had MFP set them up for you (as opposed to doing TDEE), then you need to eat back your calories. That's how it's set-up. I hate using the phrase "starvation mode" but your body will slow down your weight loss if you don't eat enough.

Are you getting up and going to the bathroom? That's what mine counts LOL

I have 4 kids - ages are 20, 17, 13, and 2 1/2 yrs. I've had 5 miscarriages and would like another one. My 2 1/2 yr old is a vampire child and likes to stay up until 4am most nights. You ask if it's worth it? Absolutely. There is not enough space here to tell you all the things I love about being a parent. (And yes, I'm…

Those are some great ideas! I've used Body Fortress vanilla for a long time, and I'm just tired of it. I like EAS Soy (chocolate) but I'm trying to get away from soy. And I have Dr. Mercola's strawberry but it's nasty. I'll have to try some of the recipes you guys posted and look up the brands. Thank!!

I just looked at your food log again, and I think you actually eat pretty good  Sorry, I know you want tough friends LOL. I personally think 1300 is too low, so I would actually applaud you when you went over haha. I think 1500 is much better, but that's personal preference! And....you gotta have fun days :drinker:…

^^This. If you're working out that hard and that often, and only eating 1200 calories a day - well, that definitely explains your plateau. Read the above website and see how that helps you. I had the same problems on 1200 calories, and eventually started gaining. You have to feed your body :-)
-
Feel free to add me if you like; I looked at your diary and while I don't focus too much on WHAT you eat (as long as it's within reason  ) I'm more concerned with how little you eat. It's too low. So, if you want THAT kind of feedback, feel free to add me

They're losing weight for a TV show, which means the need results FAST. What they're doing is extremely unhealthy. You can look up actual scientific journals and find that out. The only reason I can think of why Bob Harper would suggest it in his book is because since that's what they do on the show, if he doesn't continue…

Agree. ^^This. You are definitely not eating enough and this will not only cause you to plateau, you may start to gain again. Look at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/975025-in-place-of-a-road-map-short-n-sweet This is a good place to start.

That seriously made me laugh when I read the PB2 comment    I used to use it when I was eating low calorie, but now since I'm eating more "normal" only real peanut butter for me!! Anyone can feel free to add me as well....It would be nice to have friends who eat at a healthy amount of calories and not…

The book New Rules of Lifting for Women is really great. I can do all the exercises at home, but I do have some weights at home. (Although I prefer to go to the Y  ) Also, check out the website http://eatmore2weighless.com/ (NO www.) If you click on any of the tabs at the top, and then scroll down, on the right side…

Eat more. Trust me, it will work, but give it 4 weeks. You may gain the first week or two; or not. Don't listen to the ramblings of that Bob person....he does NOT know what he's talking about. I guarantee you that you will start to see loss again if you eat more. I can give you MANY examples of it working, including me.
-
^^ This exactly. Great for getting extra protein in, but definitely not worth it as a peanut butter spread. Spend the calories and eat the real stuff for that :-)
-
Well, you didn't mention there was a TV  That changes everything LOL I HATE that the TVs are always on the 5000 ESPN channels - a pet peeve of mine!

Women's workout area?? :grumble: :noway: I'm insulted. There's no difference in how a woman should work out from how a man should work out. Edited for spelling error from typing too fast....

When I get stuck, I up my calories. Sounds counter-intuitive, I know...but it works. Up them to 1500 and see if that works. It's worked for me every time; I'm now up to 2000 calories and still losing :-)
-
Keep working at it...you can do it!!
-
Eat higher calorie things - problem solved :-) Not being a smart aleck, it's just true.
-
It depends on how long you've been depriving your body. There are some really great articles about resetting your metabolism (aka fixing it) at http://eatmore2weighless.com/ (NO www.)
-
I love your story!! Congratulations on the weight loss and the babies :-)
-
If you eat too little, your body protects itself and slows down the metabolism, slowing down or even stopping weight loss.
-
Same thing happened to me. I ate at 1200 calories, but only for a few weeks; by the 3rd week I was actually starting to gain. Went up to 1400, started losing then stopped. Repeat at 1500, 1600, and 1800. I now eat 2000 calories on average and am losing regularly. I love not being hungry, not worrying about not having…
-
First, congratulations!! It always comes off slower at the end. I would suggest upping your calories. Seems counter-intuitive, I know, but it works (usually!). Your body may be just trying to hold on to whatever fat it has left because you are eating at such low calories. Up them just a bit and see if that helps. Good luck!

My main goal is to get into a size 12 pants. I don't care about the weight; I'd like to keep the muscles :-) I started off a size 20/22 and I'm in a size 16 now. I've only lost 18 pounds haha. I also want to do 10 push-ups, then 20, then up to 100; do 20 pull-ups; bench press my weight, squat my weight. I'd like to…

My favorite is when someone posts they're eating net calories under 1000, their hair is falling out, and they outright say don't tell them to eat more...... But it's really fun when it's all in CAPS!!!! BECAUSE THEY'RE REALLY ANGRY ABOUT IT!!!
-
^^This. You said you want to lose the weight fast, but wouldn't you rather lose it permanently? If you slow down your metabolism, you're just going to gain it back again. Also, with TDEE, you're not supposed to eat back your exercise calories. They're figured in.
-
^^This! You should do strength training no less than 2 and no more than 4 days a week; always leave a day in-between so your muscles can repair themselves. And yes, make sure you eat enough or your muscles will not grow and you'll just get tired and irritable :-) Make sure you eat enough protein!
-
I'm a 42 year old stay at home mom :-) Feel free to add me, but I do believe in fueling your body and not starving it, so if you, like, net under 1000 calories....don't be surprised to get comments from me to eat more lol. Just a warning :-D I am on here everyday and I love to support my friends on here.
