That's more of an indication that your physical fitness stayed the same (good for you), not that your metabolism stayed the same (it didn't, if we're talking in terms of TDEE). People say metabolism and mean to many different things. This is more in terms of EE (energy expenditure) it seems? Correct me if I'm wrong. Your…

Anyway, just a thought: Perhaps measuring tape isn't the best idea for muscle growth on a deficit. You can lose fat and weight on a calorie deficit, and still go down a size measurement even if you have muscle growth (long way of saying by volume: fat is larger then muscle).
-
Agreed and I would love to hear some people who are educated on this type of subject (muscle gains/deficits) or at least have a reasonable somewhat educated hypothesis. Research would be ideal, likelihood unlikely. thanks for making that post, unfortunately I didn't read EvgeniZyntx's comment until after I made that big…

agreed  Hopefully some other people much smarter then the both of us chime in lol. I know it's a rare thing but I'd love for someone to put their (reasonable) 2 cents in about the likely hood of seeing and measuring a noticeable muscle growth in 5 weeks of weight loss (on a deficit) by measuring (unflexed). Keeping…

EvgeniZyntx, I think you're right. Basically I knew all about newbie gains and growing initally on a deficit and growing muscle back if you were to that previous point before. My point was not everyone can do that. To many slim women pick up "my muscles are getting huge on this calorie deficit" and I wanted to try and…

maybe she used that hand for...you know....lots of other things....

And you don't think that has anything to do with her being underweight and doing sports which easily create a deficit which would cause a loss of fat making her look more defined? Or doing resistance training (sports) so if she was on a surplus yes, she'd likely gain muscle over fat...she'd have to gain something...and…

I agree, and I have bird legs. I have no idea why, but hamstrings are hot lol. And the quads on the girl above look fantastic. Very feminine I want to photoshop a hot skirt on them :p
-
How does it do that?
-
I'm not saying it's impossible, I just don't like it stated as a general fact as if "it's 100% proven" (like you said) for the general population if they eat at a deficit, lift, and eat adequate protein. And I ask again, where has this been 100% proven? Or are you talking in only obese populations that initially started…

Just adding that this is 30 DAY shred. 30 days. That would likely be glycogen repairs happening that you thought were muscle size gains.
-
I'm glad to have a conversation such as this with someone who isn't getting defensive about it. It's rare, maybe we'll both learn something. Look up newbie gains. That's true, to a point. And then you stop seeing benefits. I'm not obese, I don't get these luxuries on a deficit. My point being you said you "gained some…

30day shred people usually start on a significant calorie deficit...and lose significant water. And then gain it back easily when they stop the diet. So yes, the deficit and losing water from exercise, I'd say there's a fair bit of water coming off there. Question I can't seem to get my head around. Why do you think the…

Yep!

No rational reason? 2 lbs a week for me a while ago would have been 700 calories a day. I'd hardly think that would work because my body would not be loving that. Also, I hardly think watching my macros would have been sustainable like you said. Optimally, I'd want 96g of protein a day...That would leave me with about 35…

You obviously missed the bra pics :p Also, it's a fashion corset, I can wear that one in public without weird looks :p But thank you!

lol what's that suppose to mean! How are my regular pics! How is this pic!

omg I LOVE your skirt! Where did you get it?!

+1

Please post what a flexed unbulky muscle looks like so we have a comparison of what you are looking for...

Sadly I completely understand where she's coming from. A lot of body builders just happen to be unflexible before they start doing bodybuilding in the first place and don't stretch when they continue on. I dated someone who use to ask me to get things off the bottom shelf at the grocery store. I however have always been…

Pictures so I don't think these people are unicorns. 'Cause there's never before and after pics in these threads.

Please make a thread on this and link it here so I can find it...I would like to see these people try to answer this :p

Couch Potato: expect to still have a high fat content, even at a low weight. You can still get smaller. Cardio: Expect to have a lower fat content then the above. When you start using muscles, you will 'tone up' to a point. And then that stops. You can still get smaller with weight loss, but the benefits halt rather…

This website was made so that you eat back your exercise calories. As to answer your question, there's a rule in thermodynamics where a system can only burn as much as it gets. If you are giving it less then what it needs, it's going to start picking and choosing what is essential to run and if it should run optimally.…

You are being silly. I usually have over 90g of protein every day. Sometimes this consists of whey protein. In shakes, in yogurt, in pancakes...I've managed to lose all the weight I intended to. Whey has nothing to do with weight gain. The only time you gain weight is when you eat more then you consume. It doesn't matter…

 Seriously though, most are not going to see abs until a much lower body fat. With that being said, the BIA scales were spitting out 17% at me and I was underweight and I still had a pot belly. The problem? I didn't pick up any type of resistance training when I was heavier to help me retain LBM so the weight I was…
