  • Oh wow, man... Dave's not... :glasses: never mind. I didn't get my walks in this week & I really missed it!
  • Good for you!!!! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • Mya-that's great! Sweet-keep up the good work! Jess-take care of yourself. M- come back. I need all y'all to keep talking about the massive amounts of exercise you do! Bring it! I rode the bike today at an even higher level & it was almost easy! This weekend will be tough, but there's a LOT of walking…
  • It's so sad. 5 years ago I had half my second grade class close to or over 100 pounds. I actually had a grandmother ask me when the nutrition unit would be over because she was tired of grand daughter requesting vegetables with every dinner! :grumble: Can you imagine?
  • Don't you be too quiet!!!! Yes, there seem to be lots of newbies with the same questions almost every week. But it's so motivating to hear how you're all staying strong & healthy. You young 'uns are so active! It's good to hear you discuss your workouts. I never dreamed I'd ever workout for much more than 30…
  • I can't stop laughing!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Sounds good. I'll have to try some. I weighed in at the gym today & in the past month I've lost 8 pounds, including 7 pounds of body fat & 5 inches!!!!!!! wahoooooo!!!!!!!!! You kids are good for me.
  • Not to mention all these calories I burn using my computer mouse!!!!!
  • Thanks. I'll try these.
  • I'm glad you're up & a little better. You eat a lot of lentils. How do you cook them?
  • I microwave it, then mash with a 'tater masher, add margarine, FF sour cream, Parmesan, whatever I have enough calories left to do! It's yummy.

  • Good for you! I know just what you mean. I bought a shirt on sale before Christmas, but it was too cold to wear it. I wore it to work today & it's 2 sizes too big! :ohwell:
  • I'm looking for an Oriental chicken salad recipe. I usually combine a precut bag of cabbage slaw, one of shredded lettuce, some chicken, slivered almonds & dressing. I'm not fond of any of the bottled dressings. So I guess I'm looking for a dressing recipe with calorie/carb counts. Do you have one?
  • I should have mentioned that the cereal & soy milk will replace the extra large bagel & gob of cream cheese! :embarassed: yeeehaw!!!!!!!!!
  • Goodness! You girls take care of yourselves. Don't wear yourselves down. Do you take multi vitamins? How about C? Hope you feel better soon. :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • I weigh in every morning, too. Like was said above - I need the motivation or kick in the pants more often than just once a month. It keeps me honest. I only log once a week, though.
  • I've been a water drinker for a long time - my surprise addiction is cauliflower! I love it mashed with some FF sour cream & grated cheese! yum!
  • You're all so motivating here! Hubby is getting a little competitive with me about calories burned & exercise time! He's picking up some really good habits lately... Today he even went out & bought himself some Fiber 1 cereal & SOY MILK!!!!!!!!!!!    Can you believe it?!…
  • That's okay... I'm sitting here barefoot in California with the windows open. Keep your horses.
  • My pedometer just arrived - along with my BL DVDs! Gym after work, 2 mile walk with hubby, now dinner will be grilled Mahi with fruit salsa & a salad,
  • My favorite salad is    whichever one is in front of me!
  • We just got back from a 2 mile walk...my pedometer came from Amazon today!!!   Hubby is going to grill Mahi & he'll have his in a taco. I'll have mine with a salad & fruit salsa. I went to the gym after work today, now I'm ready to veg out.
  • I think the point is - this is really good info for lots of reasons: 1. BL contestants are living in a dream (nightmare) situation. 2. They are extremely overweight, eating 1500 calories & working out 3-4 hours/day. Tough conditions to recreate, but we can learn from their experiences anyway. Thanks for…
  • Thanks, CB! This is really good. I had a conversation with a friend last week who said she wasn't interested in MFP, because if she ate something she shouldn't, she just wouldn't log it in. That's the way she has always "dieted" & that's exactly why so many of us don't like our results - we spend so much time…
  • As young as you girls are, you probably won't have skin issues... just don't wait until you're past 50 to get started!!!! Stretch marks fade with time anyway. :grumble:  :frown: :embarassed:  :grumble: I don't think my skin will be able to tighten up now - my legs are getting wrinkly, with only 13 ponds lost!…
  • I bought a food scale that weighs & tells calories, carbs, etc. but I've found that almost everything comes in a package with nutrition facts on the back! Even salad, fresh spinach... Of course I figured that out after I bought the scale, but it is very helpful in comparing info sources.
  • Wow! 3" off your hips???? Good for you!!!! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • With my work schedule, I have to plan menus in advance. I keep a running grocery list in the kitchen, I shop on Fridays. We drink coffee in the mornings, black or with Splenda, then water with a lemon slice the rest of the day. My breakfasts are usually the same, because eggs stay with me. I have no time for snacking until…
  • Oh wow, man. Dave's not here.
  • It looks like a successful Monday so far!!!! I only lost a pound last week, but I am decreasing my calories (& carbs) back down to 1200 this week. My plan is to increase exercise & not eat those calories, in order to eat out this weekend & still lose. Half a day down, so far so good!!!! breakfast: 1 egg scrambled…
