Bump

I spent this weekend up north, on Lake Wawasee, with my boyfriend and his family. There was a lot of beer, a lot of bread, and not enough swimming. So, while I was down to 181 on Friday, I have now only lost a net amount of 1.5. Not horrible for my first week, but this second week needs to see results! I'm still doing the…

I'm away from my house and equipment, so I feel like I'll be swimming pretty hard in the lake tonight. Lots of walking, and lounging. I'm also without a scale up here at the lake, so I hope that'll keep my accountable and keep me behaving, knowing that when I get home I'll have to weigh in and won't have any time to try to…

Great job! I didn't even THINK to look for C25k podcasts! Where did you find them? And definitely stick with it! I'm getting ready to begin my second week. It looks tough, but I'm excited :)
-
Way. To. GO! You're awesome, and once you get those shoes I have faith that you'll be even more inspirational!
-
I haven't been using videos, I've just been walking on my own. I hope that's okay!
-
THANKS! I went strong the whole time, minus two brief rest periods during the lunges/arm raises. They kill me!
-
I'm STILL walking, I just haven't been posting my daily miles. However, take a look at my ticker below for a little teaser :) I can't wait to start a new goal on July 14th, that way I can do it with you all for real!
-
Getting ready to shred L1D5! Here's to hoping I can mentally overcome my tendencies to wimp out at the end of the video :blushing:
-
You CAN do this! Getting as far as you've gotten, you should be incredibly proud! And since you've made it this far, we all know you can keep on keepin' on ;) Congratulations, and best of luck!
-
Ha, thanks! I'm definitely going to need it. I'm going up to a lake in N. Indiana with my boyfriend's family, and they ALWAYS have great food -- and lots of it!
-
I'm just about to finish week 1, and it definitely feels as if there's a difference between when I started and now! I can't wait until I can run the 5k, and I bet you feel the same! Keep up the good work!
-
Lookin' good!

If you all don't mind, I've love to join! I have 330 minutes of exercise already in for this week, as I read that was the week's challenge, but I'll officially join on Monday, July 5th! However, I'd like to go ahead and add myself to the list and such... Name.............................. Start Weight…

Welcome to the thread, kistinbee! I'm glad you're seeing such great results from 30DS -- it gives me hope!

Try dips, or what some call "reverse push ups." Begin on your bum, with your legs bent at the knee. Place yours arms behind you, hands on the floor with your fingertips pointing towards your legs. Raise up, and then lower yourself. Here's a link with a picture similar to what I'm talking about, except you'd have bent…

I'm 5'7" and my happy weight would (will) be around the 140s or high 130s!
-
L1D4. Still tough, but I've noticed that I can complete more reps without pausing, so I'm pleased! Maybe soon I'll get all the way through?!
-
Awesome, both that you pushed yourself tonight and that you're doing a 5k later! :)
-
L1D3 shredded! I'm STILL sore! The lunges and handweight lifts towards the end of L1 are KILLING ME! :)
-
LOVE it! My sister influenced me to join, too!
-
What a GREAT idea! I was wondering about this the other day... I'm proud that I... -- exercised three days in a row! -- am consistently making better food choices
-
I log it as circuit training, and I've seen a few others who do as well. I guess it just depends on how you feel your exertion level was..? Hope this helps!
-
Absolutely fantastic! Way to go :)
-
That's fantastic, Bear! You're a real inspiration. I don't have P90x, but this definitely makes me want it!
-
Looks yummy! Thanks!
-
So I'm going to officially join the challenge on July 14th, and until then I'm just going to log my miles in my ticker! Do you guys report daily or weekly?
-
L1D2 shredded. It *felt* easier, but who knows! Do you guys typically do a level per week? Or do you just advance whenever you can breeze through the level?
-
Amen, sister! (Literally ;] ) I'll support you from across the hall!
-
Bumpin' for later :)
