don't step on the scale if it (you) is going to make you give up before you start. Change your mind to getting healthier, making wiser choices. Dieting will make you fail as you have already proved.

look at other ways to track your success. Take your measurements, do your clothes fit differently, are you having an increase in energy. Stop using the scale for a little while. Only you can decide if getting healthy is worth it. MFP is a great tool if you use it. I hate exercise but I do it anyways, I don't like limiting my food intake but I do it. I like the new me and do not want to go back to where I was. Took me a long time to get to this point but I want it. The question is DO YOU?

I don't count milk but any non caffeine free beverage is added. (or the alcohol I drink)

I had it on my chin and upper lip. Love the results. Feels like getting snapped with a rubber band over and over and not sure I could have done it over a large area, just as I'm reaching my limit for pain she was done. Had mine done 4 years ago I think. and the results are still great. It doesn't get rid of the white hairs…

Just make sensible choices. Try everything..small amount. You don't have to have "everything" at every meal. You will be walking tons, swimming, take the stairs instead of the elevator. Most of all have fun and deal with your choices (good or bad) after you get back home.

Slow cooker is really easy, but keep making excuses for not trying it. Put it on leave it for x hours and put it in the fridge. most of the recipes taste good as leftovers.

I have a 7 grain oat mix and 1/3 cup dry is a serving size. I would count this recipe as 3 servings. I always cook it on the stove, (dad taught me this as he made it when I was a kid).

I count anything except my coffee as water. Always make sure its low calories and I dilute it as well.

weight loss surgery and MFP are tools that can help you lose weight. If you don't work at them you will continue to gain back the weight that you lose. I too was going to have the surgery and needed to lose weight first, that's when I discovered that if I can't do it by eating less then I would not do it with the surgery…
