  • Oh hey there! I'm on Day 11 of Beginner Shred, but I'm spreading it out with some other exercises as well and started it on March 21 (like I go to a yoga class on Tuesdays). How's it going for you?
  • Glad you all are getting the threads started and keeping this going. My new job is killing me.
  • I have a hard time just waist hooping. I automatically start doing tricks and stuff lol.it's a challenge to keep it on my waist.
  • I have hooped more than I had been which is a plus. This new job is killing me though!! I'm exhausted when I get home (which is why I need to get up at 6 and do stuff before work but that has yet to happen)
  • Haha. Well. I worked from 8-6. Has good intentions. And fell asleep on the couch at 8!!!!
  • Got it in before 9 o'clock today. Now if I can get up and do this at 6am since I'm working 8-6 the rest of the week that'd be great.
  • Thank you so much for keeping these posts going. I started a new job and it's gotten me all off routine.
  • Got some hooping in today. Snow day #2...bad for my motivation!! But I also made a third hoop to be shipped out and made a product tutorial, so there's that....and scraped the ice off of my car. which was a work out in itself
  • I missed today. I'm snowed in....and I couldn't resist being curled up under blankets on the couch with my furbabies all day watching movies haha. Still snowed in but I'll try to be more motivated today.
  • If you are using a weighted (3lb for example) hoop please be careful hooping over the bruises. You need to heal. And if you are using a weighted hoop, don't hoop for 30 minutes at a time. If it's over 2lbs, then it shouldn't be used for more than 10-15 minutes at a time. For bruising, I recommend getting some Arnica cream…
  • Today was a good day for me. My hand isn't hurting (I've been having some issues...not sure if it's tendonitis or carpal tunnel or what) but anyway, that meant I could really hoop and I also pulled out my contact staff (because it's wrist intensive) and played with it! woot!! also, if anyone on here can foot hoop, I…
  • I missed day 5 but I'm off on day 6 so I'm hoping to double up.
  • Thanks for posting the thread again concordancia! I did my hooping tonight! yay! this time i added some 3lb hand weights and did some presses and curls and such while waist and knee hooping. that was fun. Melry: I agree with concordancia. Learning how to hoop in both currents is a great project for limited space. Being…
  • It was after midnight but I got in my hooping. It wasn't quite 30 minutes of straight hooping, I incorporated a lot of stretching, but the daily hoop practice is the goal.
  • Thanks for posting the thread! I just got off work. Will report shortly!!
  • Glad to see people posting!! The only thing that got me to do my 30 tonight was that I had to wash work clothes after I got home after a 10 hour work day of waiting tables. If I hadn't had to wash clothes I would've crashed. So I hooped while I waited on the clothes. It wasn't as high energy as usual considering my…
  • Hi! Yes! Options 1) I make them and ship! 2) hoopnotica is a good one. But I also agree with checking locally (you can check on hoopcity.ca to see if you can find some locals. Or if you google you'll probably get a bunch of options. My friend Rebecca at HoopEssence makes great hoops as well and she's also on myfitnesspal.…
  • And please please please be careful with those weighted hoops. It's just as beneficial to get a regular dance hoop and you don't have to worry about your core looking like you've been hung by your waist. Don't hoop over those bruises. And dance hoops are just more fun!! And here's the thing, while a weighted hoop is…
  • Hi all! Here's a group I started back in October for a 30/30 challenge but it kind of fizzled out. We can resurrect it though!! Join the group and you can add me too!! I think I'm the friend from the OP who started the challenge ;-) Happy hooping!! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/16984-30-30-hoop-challenge
  • It's a Cyr Wheel. Not a hoop just fyi. I want one so bad. No where to play though.
  • I never have a plot outlined. I'm a total pantser and it's totally ok. Sometimes it's more fun that way. You get To see where the chars want to go instead of trying to force them Into the plot you've already invented for them. And sometimes how it turns out is surprising.
  • You should go for it anyway!! The point of nano is to find time to write despite your life commitments, because most writers don't have the luxury of just writing!! Especially before they hit best sellers lists. My first win, I was in the middle of two jobs and worked 90 hours between the two one week of November and…
  • This thread makes me happy! I'm participating as well fourth year, hoping to make it my third win! I'm unoffcially trying to ML for my region because the ML is MIA and hasn't posted anything yet!! Geez. I think I'm going back to fantasy this year. The last two years I wrote adult fiction and actually finished a crime…
  • Changed my mind. I just did mine. Yes. At 1 am. I figured I'd watched 11 episodes of Walking Dead today, I might as well waist hoop for 30 minutes of the 12th lol
  • mine isn't happening today. i'm so sore from yesterday
  • ooooh...calf raises while hooping......great idea!!! lol anyway...when doing the high heeled shoe thing, like I said for the extra challenge (and you will probably fail the first time...and the tenth time, i still have issues) pick the foot up off the floor...you can do that with a foot out to the side as well, and to the…
  • 30 done. All I'm gonna say is foot hooping on right foot, oblique crunch, pass to left foot, oblique crunch. Repeat.
  • I just did mine. Better late than never!! Kicked my own butt again :-)
  • I think I sent her an invite already.....
  • Yay! I'm glad there are people joining!! sorry about your lamp r1ot....at least it wasn't your tv or laptop lol I will try to post a Day by Day report thread for us :-)
