Wooo, congrats!

There is no such thing as "friendzoning". Either both sides feel chemistry, or they don't. If one person is not attracted to the other, no amount of "nice" will make it happen. And that person is not putting the other in any zone, or giving them a consolation prize....they are simply not trying to force an attraction that…

I use FitnessBliss to create workouts for my home gym...I can't remember if there was an option for your type of gym when I went through the setup, but it might have it. http://my.fitnessbliss.com/fbo/home.seam?cid=1280189

The gazillion sorting quizzes I've taken over the years are split pretty much 50/50 between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, so when Pottermore came out I decided to let it be my "official" sort. It said Gryffindor. I can't say I wasn't a touch disappointed. =\

Sesame seed paste. You can find it in asian/middle eastern grocery sections, but if you can't find any in your area you can substitute a little creamy peanut butter and sesame oil. It's not quite the same, but it works.

I'm really sorry for the loss of your grandparent. Weight gains happen. First thing to do is recognize that a gazillion other people have fallen victim to the same sorts of things, and that you are not alone in having a weight gain after some crappy life events...so forgive yourself. Then print out one of the pics and tape…

Yes? Oh, wait.....the other kind of mummies. =D

I try to keep raw veggies cubed up in the fridge for low-cal snacking. Zucchini, cucumber, bell pepper, broccoli...any of those will let you munch as long as you want to without adding a big chunk of calories.

I'm going to come back here next time I get discouraged. Thank you guys for sharing!

You have excellent taste.

Bought at the same time: Don Henley's Dirty Laundry for my brother, and John Cougar's Hurts So Good for me. We played them on the same little portable record player that we were still using for the books where we'd know it was time to turn the page when Tinkerbell rings her little bells. ^_^

I had it back in the 90s. The doctor put me on Lasix and told me to lose a certain amount of weight...once I hit the mark he set, he took me off the Lasix for a month, checked me, and said everything was back to normal. I wish MFP had been around back then...it would have made my part of it a lot easier. ^_^

I like it raw.

Hi, and welcome! I used the sparkpeople phone app first, but the databases and website sync on mfp were much better. I lost 20 lbs from Feb to Dec on SP, and already 25 more just since Dec when I switched. MFP definitely works better for me!.

I just got over being sick as well. I had started week 1, but got sick in the middle and haven't exercised since. :ohwell: I'll probably restart next Monday and redo week 1.

I weigh every morning, but I don't record if it spikes up, unless I ate enough calories to believe it's more than water fluctuation. Otherwise, I just wait and record the next day that it drops. I measure on the first Sunday of each month.

That is *exactly* why I started giving up meat for Lent a few years back...I was tired of forgetting it was Friday!
-
Same thing I did last year...a few dollars a week to a charity. Last year was right after the Japan tsunami, so I sent a little more to the red cross fund every friday. Not sure who to choose this time...I may do different ones on different weeks.
-
I started this week, so today is my third "on" day of week 1. So far, so good. =)

I've tried and given up on the C25K a few times. My knees aren't in the best shape, so the running bits bother them, and that makes it even harder to get on the treadmill again the next time. This looks like it may be easier to stick to, thanks for posting it!

Congrats! I can see such a difference, especially in the stomach and face..such great work in a short amount of time!

I really liked the Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde. First one is The Eyre Affair. They're a lot more fun if you're familiar with the classics, like Jane Eyre, Great Expectations, Hamlet, Wuthering Heights...they really reward you for being a book fan. =)

I have absolutely no routine. We've got a treadmill, a mini elliptical, and a stackful of wii exercise/dance games, and I do one or some combination of those whenever the mood strikes. =P It averages to around 3 times per week, but occasionally I'll go nearly a week without doing any of them.

When you feel drunk. =) No kidding, either. This page has the early signs to help you avoid water intoxication. But of course the best rule is to stop drinking if it starts to get uncomfortable. http://sportsmedicine.about.com/od/hydrationandfluid/a/Hyponatremia.htm

I chop up raw veggies and keep them in the fridge for some bite-size snacking action when those times hit. I have zucchini chunks in there right now, and a full cup of them is 20 calories.

In my experience, the hunger comes when I don't eat a lot volume-wise. I keep raw veggies around so that when I start to feel that way I can eat a full cup or two of cauliflower, zucchini, squash, or whatnot and only add 50 cal or less to my day. The days I feel like I'm starving all day have been the ones I've eaten more…
