I've been dealing with a back injury for a year and a half, just had a bit of a relapse, but found that I am more aware of the way my body moves due to the injury. Do I like not being able to do all the stuff I use to do, heck no! Can I do most of it, yes! And, I found other activities I enjoy too. Hope we get more members…

Statistics say that people who track what they eat tend to eat less and eat healthier. With that being said I track food without getting too crazy about it and at times I will stop tracking for a short period of time to just take a breather. I always come back! I think when you friend someone on MFP you want to be sure…

We've moved 5 times in 10 years and I am now back where I started. And, loving it. So....moving is great but home is the heart.

No one should live on only 1200 calories!

I'd say stick with it. And, even if you don't feel like posting or logging calories visit the site for support and to hear what other people have going on. Sometimes our own life is pretty sweet when you see what another person has to deal with.

If I had to chose I'd go over in carbs. Carbs are your energy. You need just enought HEALTHY fat to help process the other nutrients your body takes in. One rule of thumb I have ALWAYS listened to is no fats after a workout. Fat decreases the rate of protein synthesis, and protein is what helps build lean muscle.

I try and eat a whole egg, soft boiled, and 100% whole wheat toast. Oh, and nonfat chai latte I make at home. When we start to eat too many egg whites alone we breakup eggs perfect protein balance. Did you know an egg is the most complete protein?

After reading your post I felt sad. Your taking control of your eating and exercise, now take control of your life. Tell your fiancé that it's important to you to get out and do things you love. Be honest with yourself and him. You HAVE to take time for yourself and NOT feel guilty about it. We have your back.

I know that feeling your having, the more you think about your weight the more you want to eat. Or, you tell yourself your not going to eat 'xyzzy' and then that's ALL you want. Our family can be our toughest critics. Don't be YOUR toughest critic. I look back at pictures of myself a few years ago when I thought I wasn't…

Here's a formula based on your body weight in kilograms that will give you an idea. 1. Weight in pounds divided by 2.2 = weight in kg 2. Weight in kg x 0.8-1.8 gm/kg = protein gm. Use a lower number if you are in good health and are sedentary (i.e., 0.8). Use a higher number (between 1 and 1.8) if you are involved in…

I workout in the morning during my 21 month olds nap. I can get a good workout in, stretch, and relax a bit. Then after dinner I'll take an hour long walk. I haven't been able to workout for a week, but in a few more days I hope my back starts feel better and I'll start walking again. No weights for a bit.
