Along with clothes after significant weight loss, there are also some friendships that no longer fit. :(

Although I don't have 100+ pounds to lose ("only" about 50-60), I have depression and hypothyroidism, too, so I'm right there with you, Nightglo, on those issues. My meds have been adjusted recently, so I'm hoping I start to feel better soon. Although I can't articulate why, can't put my finger on a specific trigger, I've…

I happened across this and thought of you. I haven't tried it myself, so can't vouch for it, but it's another recipe to add to your collection. http://www.gimmesomeoven.com/parmesan-crusted-shrimp-quesadillas/#_a5y_p=2074989

Sorry, I can't figure out how to share the nutritional info. There aren't tons of ingredients, so shouldn't take too long for you to enter everything. Per serving, my calculations show 175 calories, 28 g carbs, 4 g fat, and 3 g protein for the rice. I know I had the shrimp recipe entered at one point, but it's not there…

I usually make this shrimp recipe (super easy) with cilantro lime rice (second recipe). I've entered both into my recipes here on MFP, so let me see if I can find a way to share that info. http://thedoughwillriseagain.wordpress.com/2012/07/31/honey-lime-shrimp/…

Disappointed I missed out on the first round, but I'm cool with being on a waiting list. Would prefer Gryffindor, but would take any vacancy. Thanks!

Crap. If this happens to me, I'll have divots by the time I reach goal weight!

I took phentermine about 8 years ago. I was on it for 6 months, off for 3 months, on for 3 months. In that time frame, I dropped 90 pounds. (Granted, when I was at my heaviest, I was pregnant, so 25 of those pounds were giving birth and losing the fluid. I didn't start taking the med until I was done breastfeeding and my…

Black and white film star = brilliant! I'm terrible at coming up with Halloween costumes. Congrats on your progress!

Yo momma so dumb, she sat staring at a can of frozen orange juice for hours because it said "concentrate."

Use old--as in wrinkly, but not mushy or moldy--potatoes as they have the most starch. I peel them, cut them in cubes, and then cook in the microwave until soft, which also takes out some of the moisture. Let cool then add an egg and flour, continuing to add flour until you get a dough. When you boil them, as someone else…

Unlike the other posters, I have had great success with phentermine and have kept most of the weight off. I was started on it about 7 years ago after exercising, mainly with weights, for 6 months without any weight loss, change in body measurements, or change in how my clothes fit. Coupled with much better portion control…

You may have "only" lost 20 pounds, but it sure looks like you built and toned a lot of muscle. Way to go!

1981 Olds Cutlass. Still have it. Thank God I met my husband or it would have been gone a LONG time ago! Dunno how to load pics, but it's still in awesome condition simply because we took care of it.

Eat less, move more.

Sadly, I've experienced the same thing, some with women who have been my friends since junior high. Something nobody mentions is that when you lose weight, sometimes you lose friends, as well. It hurts, but I'm happier where I am now than I ever was when I was bigger.

A-flippin'-mazing! Each and every one of you! Congratulations on your success!

Hey, Ben, have you ever tried quinoa for breakfast? I cook a big batch and then throw it in the fridge. In the morning, I'll heat it up in the microwave then throw in some greek yogurt. Sometimes it's vanilla greek yogurt and sometimes it's plain with a bit of powdered sugar mixed in. I love it that way! It's kind of like…

I'm not a fan of Italian dressing either--hate the stuff to be perfectly honest--but give it a shot at least once. I think the cheapest dressing has more vinegar in it than more expensive brands, and it's the vinegar that breaks down the chicken a bit and makes it more tender. Thus, I think your balsamic vinaigrette would…

From my heaviest point, I had lost about 90 pounds. For a variety of reasons, I've gained about 25 back, so now I'm trying to get back to where I was at my lightest and keep going from there. Surprising things that don't fit anymore after serious weight loss: Shoes, sunglasses, and (sadly) some friendships.

I know you said you weren't big on marinades, but here's another idea: Buy the cheapest Italian dressing you can find. Take your chicken breasts and while still slightly frozen, score them with a knife, being careful not to cut all the way through. Put the cheap dressing in a Ziploc bag, throw your chicken in, put it in…

If you still dislike boneless, skinless chicken after trying this, there's something wrong with you. :) Aside from the spices, the measurements are just rough estimates--I never use 6 chicken breasts (family isn't that big), and I just eyeball the margarine and toss in some Parmesan cheese and crushed crackers/croutons. I…
