I was too embarrassed to go to the gym when I first started losing weight 4 1/2 months ago so I did Jillian Michaels' DVD at home, mixing walking about 2 - 3x a week. I lost a good 15lbs doing this so no, you do not need to go the gym to lose weight. =)

I unintentionally zig zagged my calorie count last week...I thought I was over eating but as it turned out it was exactly what I needed. After the scale refused to move for a good 2 weeks, I lost 1.6lb from last week and I ate loads of food! Win win!

If you're happy with at home DVDs, check out Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zone. The whole hour is dedicated to toning. You'll get some really nice definitions in your shoulders and arms if you keep it up. =)
