Don't do any of it due to how you look. Do it because of how you feel, or want to feel. For me it was more about health than anything else. I am a type 2 diabetic and basically it comes down to not wanting to lose a foot or a leg or my eyesight because I've let myself go. You have to find your own inner reasons for this to…

Trolls are those people in Michigan who live in the lower peninsula...or as "under the bridge". I'm a troll.

Way to go! I totally notice the difference. Keep up the good work.

I have never been a runner until I started C25K. I had to restart it 3 times this summer, but I finally made it to week 4. Loving it.

I am in week 4. This is a great program for beginners. I never in my life would have thought I would start running at age 40 and being over 200 lbs, but I am doing it and loving it. Good luck to you.

My goal was 20 lbs by Thanksgiving, so I'll say 25 lbs by Christmas. That would be so awesome. I'm ready for the hard work.

I have mine set for .9 lb loss per week and have a really hard time eating all my calories due to all the activities I've been doing. You just inspired me to increase my weight loss goal so I have fewer calories to eat at the end of the day.

Last year during my annual physical I told my doctor how I was trying to lose weight but always felt hungry. He sent my to an endocrinologits for that and my diabetes. I've been on a good combo of meds that has my sugar down, cholestrol under control, and the most important thing is I no longer feel hungry all the time.…

I just made a soup that is very close to this. No cider vinegar or tomatoes and I addes turkey sauasage. It's a knock off of Carrabba's Spicy sausage & Lentil soup. I'm having it for lunch today and it is delish!.

Thanks for sharing. You are a true inspiration. You look fabulous. Congrats!

I have the same issue sorta. It is raining here and tonight is my running night. I've never run in the rain, I don't have the gear for it and can't afford to go buy it. I don't have access to a treadmill and can't afford a gym membership. I guess I will just pray that it stops raining or at least lets up by tonight when I…

I make 'em myself. Ground turkey with chopped up pieces of mushrooms mixed in. I get a little extra fiber and the filling goes further. I prefer the crispy shells, but there are some great whole grain soft shell alternatives out there. Mmm, going to have to make them tonight. Thanks.

prrr. how about a nice combo of the two. I know a few who fit that category. yummy.

idealy 5, realistically 10.

While there are many people in my family who need to lose weight, I've garnered the most support from friend, especially my MFP friends. The encouragement and positive reinforcement I receive here daily is incredible and truly appreciated. Thanks for sharing the article. We all need to be reminded how bad it could possible…

Things like that really put our weight into perspective. Good luck on the rest of your journey.

You're dad was right. You don't even look like the same person. Way to go!!!

I completely understand that feeling of being overwhelmed. About 18 months ago I was at the doctor for my annual physical. I told him how I've tried to lose weight but can not do it and always seem to be hungry. He sent me to an endocrinologist for my diabetes who in turn ran some tests and put me on some new medications.…

Congrats! I never imagined I would be a runner either, let alone like it. I enjoy how I feel doing it and I love how it makes me feel after I've done it. I've been working on C25K all summer and finally am up to week 3. I can't wait get through more of the program and finally achieve that 5k. Way to go!

Amazing work! You are very lucky to have had the full support of your family. Not everyone has that support system. I have some family support but I receive so much support, encouragement, and enthusiasm from my MFP family. Congrats!

That is awesome! Congrats!

From everything I've ever read, anything more than 2 lbs a week is not healthy. Sounds like you're doing things right this time. Keep up the good work.

I did W3D1 last week and thought it went easier than I expected it to. I've had trouble getting in the 3 days of each week into an actual calendar week so it has taken me about 8-10 days per week. Plus, this is the 3rd time this summer I've had to restart the entire program due to health reasons. I did W3D2 yesterday…

my doctor told me to take fish oil caplets. also, he said to us regular olive oil rather than extra virgin. he said despite the other benefits of evoo, it is high in triglycerides. good luck.

I have wii fit, active 2 and Golds Gym Boxing. My favorite is the boxing. Love, love, love it.

what? i don't understand the question.

it depends on your committment to zumba. it can be an 800-900 caloric burn in class. i'm not sure about the dvd's.

Without. I don't have an ipod only the old cassette walkman and a disc walkman. I don't want to carry those when I'm running. I've been thinking about getting an ipod specifically for when I run.

I'm doing a happy dance for you!!!!! Congrats! That's my goal too.

Woo Hoo! Great job!
