I wish you luck and great success. Don't think of it as 200+ to lose, think of it as 20 lbs. at a time. Use your support system. I've had great success this time around because of MFP and due to 6 of my friends/co-workers doing a "Biggest Loser" challenge. It's a lot of work and a daily challenge, but you can do it. If I…

My doctor won't prescribe things like that for me. He makes me do it the old fashion way with exercise and hunger.

You won't regret joining MFP. This is a great site. Be sure to get lots of friends, but not too many. You want to be able to interact with your friends and really participate in their journies.

I know the feeling. I had to get a belt out of the closet today to keep my pants up. I keep trying to get another week or two out them.
-
Apart from a health scare, the only thing that got me motivated was a "Biggest Loser" contest with some co-workers. It has worked good for me. I've lost 15.4 lbs in 6 weeks.

People watch in Times Square. Visit Central Park, its absolutely awesome.

TOM got me good last week until I figured out what was going on. That's when I was able to get a hold of it and defeated it. I had my best weight loss in 6 weeks with 5.2 lbs.

If you have an Aldi store near you, they have a line called Fit & Active that is awesome. They have 50 cal fruit strips (like fruit roll-ups for kids but not as playful) in a variety of flavors, also zero cal flav drinks, yougurt raisins, and tons of other goodies.

Thanks everyone. I bought 350 capsules of 1000 mg so I'm gonna try it for a while and see if there is any significant difference. It will be good for me to get back in the habbit of checking my blood sugars more than once a week.

Thanks everyone! I'm gonna keep on eating that fiber. Luckily I don't usually have a sensative stomache so I think I can handle it.

I'd say surgery should be the absolute last option you pursue. I've heard so many horror stories about people who have had the gastric bypass surgery. It seems that not only the amount of food you eat after the surgery affects the stomach, but also the kind of food. Do more research on the complications of the surgeries…

Wii Fit is okay when you start out but I have since moved onto Wii Golds Gym Boxing and Wii Active 2. Much better workouts.

I had a similar victory 2 weeks ago. I put on a t-shirt that was previously tight around the waist, but 2 weeks ago it fit like a normal t-shirt should. I definitely pointed that out to a few people.

You have joined a very helpful community that inspires me several times a day. Good luck with your journey.

Same boat here. My arms are big but not huge. I've got a little flab up by the armpit. I'm focusing on my arms right now so I can wear sleeveless/tank tops this summer without being completely embarrassed. Good luck.

Lots of us Michiganderers here. Welcome.

Excellent progress!

OMG! TY TY TY. This is a great web site. I can't wait to start making stuff.

Our bodies are a complex organism. Things that work for one person don't necessarily work for another person. What might help one person lose five lbs. might only help another person lose one lb. Quite often people expect immediate results from something they have to done to lose weight. You can't see or feel the lbs drop…

I could see them. Excellent work! Very noticeable changes. Keep up the good work.

My zumba instructor says 1000 calories per hour. I've heard a lot of dispute over that number so I'd probably use aerobics or dancing to compare caloric burn.
-
Way to go! It's just amazing what we can do in 30 days.

Congrats! I know that you put a lot of hard work into that loss. I know because I have lost 15 lbs in the past 6 weeks myself. I too am eating healthier and starting to enjoy my work outs. Good luck with your journey. I'm going to send you a friend request because we have very similar goals.
-
I don't think it will hurt your weight loss. I go to Zumba class once a week on an empty stomach and that's a whole hour class. I've never had a problem.

Thanks for the recipe. I've been craving pizza lately and this sounds like a great alternative. I'm not a huge fan of eggs, but since you said its not too eggy I am going to give it a try tonight.

Sorry for your loss. You've made a step in the right direction to get yourself healthy. I am battling Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I'm not even 40 and I have to so, so may pills. I am losing the weight and getting active in an effort to improve my life long term. Good luck with your weight…

It can be depending on how hard you work and how much overall weight you have to lose. I've lost 15 lbs in 6 weeks, but I am still way above 200. Just work it and believe that you can do it! See it and achieve it!

Yes, its addictive like Facebook.

I went to the movies a couple weeks ago and somehow managed to skip the food counter. Boy, am I really glad I did that after I looked at those calories and fat grams. That is terrible. I will never eat it again.
