I started that this week and I call it run training.

Or just make double batch. Sounds yummy!

I was one of those that ate too little at the beginning until I gained almost 2 pounds, so I went for it, eating more. I have a fitbit and have set my MFP goals to lose one and half pound a week at a sedentary level. They have me at 1300 calories to start, then I add in my exercise (by HRM) and fitbit adds my additional…

I think a lot of great ideas about just educating our children about food and nutrition and a healthy lifestyle were presented. Something else I'm realizing is how many active things I can do with my kids and therefore they will partake in an active lifestyle. I've always been pretty sedentary and never really wanted to do…

Miraculous, you are a new man!

Being on this site has taught me that a couple of bad days will not undo all of the hard work I've done up to this point. If I don't put a stop to it right away when I realize that I don't like where I'm heading, I know I will go back to where I was and probably add some extra pounds to that. What's your choice? You can do…

Neither of those can be really accurate. I really appreciate having my heart rate monitor so that I can monitor my calorie burn more accurately. If you ask me, that's the way to go. By using it, I have found that sometimes my workout is harder than what MFP would predict and sometimes it is easier. They can only do a…

I was engage at age 21 and my husband was 22. He asked me to marry him four days after we met. We married a year later. I was 22 and he was 23. We are still married and it will be 27 years in June.

Great motivators!

My husband and I juice almost daily with this combination. 12 carrots green pepper maybe 4 cups of broccoli beet or a half a couple of big handfuls of spinach cucumber This is an estimate of what we put in there. We have our kids on a rotation making this for us, and then we split this recipe. I have this at about 95…

I do love the accountability and the friends I've made on here. You can do this!

Welcome Vinny. I love this site for all the things you mentioned. I also love the motivation from my friends, so if you need one, feel free to add me.

Oh yeah, I'm saving that one. I can't wait to try it. My daughter was just asking me today for something high protein and she loves yummy foods. Thanks!

Excellent Josh. When we put God first, everything else falls into place when we trust in Him. Feel free to add me if you'd like.

Those are the feelings I'm beginning to have at 45 days into my journey. It is very encouraging to hear them from someone who has succeeded and has kept it going and has made a total lifestyle change and can keep it going and continue to see the reason even now that you've gotten used to being skinny. That can sometimes be…

I like the support I get from my friends!

Yep, that's my first goal, to not be obese, but to be overweight! What an accomplishment. After that, I want to be under 200, that used to be the weight I would never go over, even pregnant. I'm not sure what the next goal will be, besides the end goal, but keeping my eyes on these immediate goals. This WILL be done!

I've actually never counted calories before coming to this site. I tracked what I was eating the last time I lost weight, but I know that keeping track of what I put in my body (in numbers) and sweat out of it will put me in more control of keeping in shape.

I've been looking into spike days. I have a friend who has lost 111 pounds and has been at a stand still. She had her first spike day last Saturday. She has been updating us on her progress through the week and has weighed in everyday since. Today she reported that the day after the spike day, she gained 5 pounds, the…

Thanks for sharing this recipe. It looks yummy. I especially like the idea of freezing it for healthy 'ice cream.'

I know, it would totally blow the "Well I screwed up my diet, so I might as well quit" idea, big time.

You look great! Thanks for sharing, Inspirational!

Looking good. You're right, there is no turning back. What option is there? This new healthy lifestyle is the only way to go. Congratulations!

I love my workout room at home. I started awhile back and got a gym membership, but it was 25 minutes away, my kids would want to go and do what they wanted to do, mainly go swimming when I was done on machines. My daughter and I were doing it together, but it seemed like a lot of gas money and time to get there and back…

Hi, I wanted to encourage you on your journey. I've only been at it a little over a month, but I have a few ideas. This is actually feeling a bit like a game with my app. My kids have apps and build worlds and gain levels, but this game helps us succeed in life. I started out with just working on making sure I put…

I have nine kids and I delivered them all. I also have a grandson. I love a big family, anyone else?

Welcome! I'm from Wisconsin too and have 9 kids. I'd love to have another friend to walk through this journey with. I love the accountability of friends on here. I'll add you!

I concur. Who needs the number on the scale to tell you how great you feel?
