I got an inner ear issue - dizzy today. Walked inside the house today. 10,000 steps.

10,185 steps today. It was super cold outside. I bundled up, grabbed some hand warmers and got it done. It took me almost 2 hours because my legs are soooo sore from the leg workout that I did 3 days ago!

Today I walked 4 miles, one hour 15 minutes with a 7 pound pack. (10,000 steps)

I am amazed at the people who are currently walking 5 miles in about an hour. At my current speed walking 5 miles takes me an hour and a half to 2 hours. I do have some hills but I'm thinking a good goal would be to just speed up! I also ride a bicycle. I can get "steps" on my bicycle by fastening my fitbit on my shoe…

I am 5'6" and I used to weigh 109 lbs. I stopped doing aerobics and started lifting weights instead. I have found that I have to eat more than one serving at each feeding. For example, I blend or eat 2 servings of oatmeal with a scoop of protein powder and sometimes still add Karbolyn. Or I eat 2 servings of oatmeal with a…

I am 5ft 6 in. 130 lbs. I use a fitbit that says I burn about 200 calories per hour while riding full blast on my bicycle. I also have a app on my phone to track my ride. It says I burn about 400 calories per hour. I believe the fit bit simply because my weight does not drop when compared to calories in. I also have a…

Carbs are not the enemy. Eat real food including carbs and have the energy to work out. Lift weights to make muscle. It will help you burn fat and look better in the long run.

I am 64 years young and just got my first recumbent short wheel base bicycle (not a trike). I rode a regular bike 10 years ago but gave it up because of pain while riding. I can't ride the bikes at the gym, too painful. My very first recumbent ride was yesterday. I rode it over 2 hours in a huge park parking lot. Learning…

Yes, you can probably lose weight by laying around and under eating. Some of that weight loss is going to be precious muscle. Flabby skinny is not pretty. What you should actually be wanting is to lose fat and keep muscle. Fuel your body and go work out. The number on the scale might stay the same but you will look and…

I agree with what was previously said. Many people who say they want to lose weight actually want to lose fat and not muscle and they are looking for a quick fix. If you decide to "try" Keto, find out more about the details first. Sounds miserable to me.

The number on the scale means absolutely nothing or every 5 foot 4 inch person would look exactly the same at x amount of weight. A person can look fat at 140 lbs or that same person can look fit at 140 lbs. Most of the time, its a lack of muscle that is the issue. Work on adding muscle and strength and you will see…

Lift weights. Don't compare your journey to someone else's. Know that it takes patience to get there. It will be harder and take longer than you ever imagined but you are worth it.

I think your body/brain is telling you that you are trying to starve it to try to lose weight. Your goal should not be to lose weight. Your goal should be to make muscle/ lose fat. when you starve your body to lose weight, you will also lose important muscle. People pick a weight in their head and go for that goal not…

The weight on the scale is a worthless number. You know that. It can't tell you how much of you is water, bone, muscle, fat, or poop. I used to think it was great that I weighed the same number for years until I looked in the mirror and realized that even though the scale stayed the same, I had traded muscle for fat. I was…

You sound like you are in the same hole I used to be in. I used to eat 800 to 1200 calories per day and lift weights hoping to build muscle. You are not eating enough to build muscle to even think about cutting. If you just cut without really building some muscle, you won't like your results. What calories are you thinking…

I tried to gain muscle, ate lots of food, gained about 15 lbs (of fat ) then my injuries added up fast. I currently have bone spurs in both my feet, Bursitis in my right buttock, A ileosacral sprain, golfers elbow on my right arm and a strained tendon on my left shoulder. I walk about 3,000 steps per day but cant work out…

Reduce the amount of processed stuff you eat. Meat, fruit, and veges are not full of salt till we make them that way with processing.

I would love to support friends and have the support of others. I also feel disappointed when a friend request turns out to be from a coach.

Already been down that road. End of the story is that my husband died of a heart attack at the age of 36. He insisted on eating crappy food, fast food, take out etc. I cooked healthy meals for me and my daughter. I thought he would have a heart attack and learn his lesson but it was the Widow maker. His first heart attack…

I am also skinny fat. I carry all my fat in my lower abdomen and butt. I already traveled the road you are about to try. I added 500 CLEAN calories per day and I did gain weight but about half of it was fat. I would suggest that you lift heavy and get stronger before you add that many calories to your diet. It takes a very…

Yep, Emberlain said it all. If it was possible in 30 days, there would be a lot more fit people around here. I have been working on my body for over 3 years. Not there yet.

I used to have a fitbit, now I have the garmin vivo fit. Love it a lot more. does everything a fit bit does and more. It is waterproof, I wear it in the shower every day. THE BATTERY LAST A YEAR. no charging it. I get a nasty red line when I sit too long, have to move for it to go away. It increases my step goal by a…

Paul Katami is a certified instructor. His dvd's will kick your butt, especially Build and Burn. I use 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 lb kettlebells during my workout. Paul explains form quite well.

I was diagnosed celiac 7 years ago. I gained a lot of weight tasting all the gluten free products. Then I realized that my body had warned me once to eat right. Gluten free junk food is still just junk. Now I just eat meat, vegetables, fruits and nuts. period. So simple. Doesn't need a name. Its just food, straight up.…

Everyone is different but my body gets constipated with any milk products, that includes yogurt and whey protein. Might lay off the milk products and see what happens.

I just purchased a rack to catch my failed attempts and prevent me from getting squished. I love it.

Sing 809 - my goals are just to lift heavier than the time before or add extra reps if I cant increase my weight. Day by Day, lift by lift, one day at a time to a stronger me.
