  • I eat more at weekends but also exercise more too. This might be cheating, but if I get up late, I have biggish breakfast, snack in afternoon, and then decent dinner. Feels like a more relaxed day, though with no more calories. Usually go for 3 or 4 mile walk. Might have to do that twice at weekend, if am really naughty.…
  • If you have food addiction, generally you may need help/support in a psychological way. A good book might be a start, if you want to feel more independent. Some people may need more than this in the form of councelling or psychological support. (You will know best, I know I eat when I am sad) I think alot of us comfort eat…
  • I had that problem, but it was sorted when I changed the time. Many multivitamin companies recommend taking them with biggest meal of the day, so thats when I take mine A good health food shop should be able to recommend a more gentle formula to avoid that problem. (More natural products) Good luck!
  • I'd say alot of actresses are well below a healthy BMI. Terrible pressure.
  • I thought 20% ish was quite low! (And 4 stone is really high! Well done)
  • Its really hard when people not encouraging. I think some people mean well but just say the wrong thing. Others might be feeling inadequate and compare themselves negatively to you so then think two wrongs make a right and say mean things. V important to have some support either here or somewhere esp as u try to get into a…
  • Great post. Supportive and no nonsense at same time. I never realised the 'effort' it would take to lose weight. I tried reducing portion sizes several times, but my metabolism usually drops to reflect this, and nothing happens. I ended up going to an organised weight loss thingy, before coming here, which I really needed,…
  • Am doing a few variations of sit-ups to tone up that area. It doesnt really make you lose inches, (as people have pointed out) but feels nicer to touch! A friend claims she toned up that area with 100 sit ups every day. I started with 20 sit ups with one repeat, twice a week. Some variety is healthier though. Be careful…
  • I would agree that junk food and sweet stuff can be addictive, though maybe not for everyone. Like there are alchoholics, binge drinkers, occasional drinkers, and those who never drink alchohol at all. Food can be similar, varies person to person. I find chocolate for me is very very addictive. If I have any at all I want…
  • Am 40. Have to say I have been at same weight for nearly all my life, but put on extra stone when I met the love of my life:smile: I never found it easy to lose weight. I think will-power is a greater liability to weight loss, more so than age, though am sure many others are different to me. (still, feel more tired now…
  • I never thought of myself as fat, or even overweight, because the men in my life have been kind. I just felt unhealthy, and didnt realise that carrying an extra stone or two, was making that worse. Reasons I was overweight were twofold. One, I comfort eat, and like sweet things. Two, was very lazy and thought I hated…
