I'm going to do this. I've lost wt. before, but that's been a while. I plan on starting tomorrow. A new week and a new beginning. What are your percentages for macro?

Thank you for responding to my post. I am having so much trouble and I am trying to refigure all of this out again. I have not been able to work out for a while due to health and pain...but I insist to push myself to go to the gym later this week.

I had a mole removed from my face and had to see my doctor for the results. It was all good. It was pre-melanoma, but he got it in time, but wanted to tell me in person. It is normal to see your doctor for the results of any tests or surgical procedure follow-ups. Take a deep breath...it can all be good results.

Thank you so much for your advice. My parent's house didn't sell and they can't afford to live in that facility and keep the house going, too. My brother and I understand and agree that this is the best decision for them at this time. My mom said that by moving home they can save up enough money to put dad in a nursing…

When I got plenty of sleep and was still tired during the day, I found out that I had sleep apnea. I had a sleep study and found out that I needed a cpap machine. I've been tired during the day for the past several weeks, but I have been having to wear oxygen all the time due to having pneumonia and being unable to wear my…

I am on a low carb/high protein diet. My body can't tolerate carbs due to surgery that I had on my intestines. I found that greek yogurt, cheese, peanut butter, nuts, protein powder added to milk, unjury added to anything really and other such foods are high in protein as well as cottage cheese, too. I don't eat much meat…

I used to be a nurse, before becoming disabled, and can help you along the way. I've done a lot of research about weight loss. I am unable to really exercise, but I do what I can. I try to eat healthy. An idea you might try that Jillian Michaels recommends is mixing up your calorie intake. Say 1200 calories 4 times a week…

I believe that losing wt. has made me more confident, have more self-esteem, and calmer in public. I find that people aren't staring at me due to my wt. They notice me for who I am.

I remember my husband giving me a hug and noticed that his arms went further around my waist. We started calling it my skinny test and that made me feel better as he noticed the changes. Just a couple weeks ago he noticed that his fingers were able to encircle my forearms.

Hi, I lost over 100 lbs. in less than a year by diet and exercising. I did a lot of walking and going to the gym and working out there. At the gym I did the nustep and the circuit a couple times a week and water aerobics twice a week. But, I mostly walked on my treadmill at home. Due to arthritis and other health-related…

I am 50 and I have lost almost 100 lbs. and it has really helped me get around better. My knees don't hurt quite as bad and neither does my back. You won't believe how much better you will feel.

I am totally addicted to Diet Coke...I drink WAY too much of it. I need to cut down to 1-2 glasses a day and do plan on doing that in the near future. I don't drink water and that is a bad thing for me. I plan on replacing soda with water or decaf iced tea.

Hi, my name is Kimberlee and I turn 50 Sunday. I am from the U.S. and live in Illinois. I have slipped on my journey due to stress in my life, but I haven't gained wt. in almost a yr.

I have the same problem you do about having all my weight in my abdomen. I've been able to lose it everywhere else.

1. Anyone can start from now and make a brand-new ending. 2. The finish line is just the beginning of a whole new race. 3. The surest way not to fail is to determine to succeed.

Hi, I am 49 and I use this site all the time. I check on my friends on facebook, but I never post anything there. Here I like to post something everyday. Feel free to add me.

The best way to get started is changing one thing at a time. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Avoid sodium. Eat more fresh fruits and veggies. Get some kind of exercise.

Hi, Jacinda, I am glad that you lost those 8 lbs. so far. You are doing great going to the gym and getting a trainer. I wish that I could afford a trainer. I have been married to my current husband for almost 11 yrs. and married to my deceased husband for over 16 yrs. I was never able to have children because of my health…

I've lost almost 100 lbs., but I still feel like I weigh what I did at my highest wt. (mentally, not physically). What helps me is looking at pictures that I've taken along my journey and I can see the difference. I also concentrate on how I feel now and what I can do now that I couldn't do at 300 lbs. I am physically…
