  • Thanks!! I never would have figured that one out
  • I completely agree. Great legs!! Congrats, you look awesome!!
  • Thanks...and I put that website on my favorites!!
  • I get laughed at by family and friends because I cant stand hair. Especially when it falls out in the shower. This is a HUGE problem since I am letting my hair grow long and I lose tons of hair everyday. I literally freak out! I eat my pizza with a fork, which my kids think is completely unacceptable. I color…
  • My faves: if you eat standing up it doesnt count and broken cookies have no calories   :noway:
  • Thank you all so much. I do have 3 DVDs that I like. Am currently trying to get into Ripped in 30 by Jillian Michaels. I did 3 days before I got down. So tomorrow I will get back into it because as you all have said exercise will help.
  • Motivation is hard to keep up...MFP is wonderful when needing a boost. I log in everyday and try to enter food and exercise everyday. Even on bad days. Too low/too high it doesnt matter I need to be held accountable so I log it and make sure my diary is not set to private. Having others look at it and offer advice has been…
  • I have lost weight in the past so I know I can do it again. Here is what I did before and what I am doing now............ *cut out soda and fast or fried foods *cut out high fat chips or stick to one serving *bought Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 because it also comes with a free diet plan *increasing water consumption…
  • I gave up Pepsi.............my true love. But at 250 calories per bottle (I can drink 2-3 a day) I had to let it go. Its good on the pocket book as well as my waist.
  • I recently had a full series of test ran on my blood. Except for low Good Cholestorol I am ok. So its all in my head :frown:
  • Thank you. Right now I am not trying much. I just lock myself in my room and wallow in my misery. Not the most proactive way to change. Just feel stuck and unsure how to pull myself up by my bootstraps. Every time I try to something else happens and I am back in my room with my blackout shades and king size bed. I will try…
  • You look great. I took before pix too and was disgusted by what I saw. Good motivation to get going. I just started last week so it will be awhile before I can share success pictures. Keep going and that 20 lbs will be gone before u know it.
  • Yes, it is high but its the "good fat". Stay within the serving suggestion (which often for me is actually too much) and you should be ok on the calories. Eat with whole grain bread to make it extra healthy. Im not sure about almond butter.
  • I think it looks good. One thing I would look into cutting back on/cutting out is the chunky blue cheese dressing. That was over 300 calories. Look into lite dressing or one that i love is the spray dressing (not sure who makes it). 4 sprays is only,,,,um 10 calories I think. Its very low. I havent used it in awhile…
  • Green tea. There are hundreds of flavors out there. Or decaffinated black tea. Caffine is one of the things Ive cut out of my life since starting my healthy lifestyle. I read it can increase appetite. Not sure if this is accurate but it got me to make the change
  • I was a personal trainer at 24 hour fitness (wouldnt know it to look at me now but I was in good shape back then). It is unacceptable to be bullied or pushed around by the trainers. Especially now when times are tough they should be understanding. If it gets worse I would complain to management because they may not be…
  • 31 lbs is a great start. Concentrate on how well you have done. I have realized that I need to make a lot of changes, not just losing weight, and it can be overwhelming. My hubby and I talked about it for a long time and came to the conclusion that looking down the long road to the end result can be scary. It seems so far…
  • When eating out there are little things you can do to save calories: No fried foods Ask for dressing on the side and only use a little Tell them to hold the butter and oil when cooking Stick to small (regular size portion) of chicken or meat. Not the oversized portions usually served in a restaurant. No sodas, water…
  • I feel the same way. It is an awful cycle to be stuck in. I spend almost the entire day and night isolated in my bedroom, my cocoon. I bought Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 and that is helping me have a little motivation to workout and working out increases endorphins, your bodies feel good chemical. This helps get me out…

  • I am 5'1" and my goal is 110 lbs. I have been there before after having my kids (ive done it twice). It only took about four months to do it and that is the time frame I have now. Last year I was 165-170 (not exactly sure since I would not get on a scale). Now I am at 155 so i have a long way to go.
  • This site is wonderful. Its great to enter a food and have to calories already calculated.
  • Welcome. This site is great. Feel free to add me.
  • I am pretty new too but am loving this site. The food and exercise tracker are so helpful because I dont have to guess or look up calories for everything I eat, its already done for me. Feel free to add me.
  • Ive been having a rough few days myself and having trouble staying focused. We can help each other.
  • I dont have mini goals so I dont reward myself (which I think is a great idea I just cant think of any rewards anyways). I plan on going down 40-45 pounds in a short time (fingers crossed) so buying clothes as a reward at each mini goal weight doesnt make much sense. I do have a reward in mind for when I reach my final…
  • Most of my jeans (that I am desperate to get back into) are boys Levis. Mens are too long (im pretty short ) and when I am at my goal weight mens dont go small enough so I go to the boys section. I even have a few tops from Abercrombie (because they run small) that I got in the mens section and they are among my favorite…
  • I am only 5''1" so my calories are always low. Plus I only have a short time to lose a lot of weight. Based on my goals MFP set me at 1200. I bought Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 and it came with a free diet plan for the 30 days. It too is set at 1200 calories and it actually keeps me full all day.
  • In the past I lost a lot of weight by walking. I would walk 5-10 miles a day (usually broken up into 2-3 walks because I cant walk 10 miles at once.) I would increase speed, walk up hills or increase distance to shake things up. I also thru in sit ups, push ups, squats and lunges because you can do those at anytime of day,…
  • Too many to list unfortunately!!!!!!!!!!!!! It can be quite debilitating. The funniest, one that makes people laugh at me, would have to be my fear of hair. (its a real fear-chaetophobia). Interested in knowing the name of your fear? Try this site: http://phobialist.com/
