  • thank u all so much. great advice. and i agree that signing up for a 5k is probably a good idea. i need a goal to be shooting for and not just to get through this 10 week program. it would be a perfect way to see how far i go!!!
  • I was a personal trainer and not once were we instructed to tell clients they must wait to shower. It was not in any of my books, on tests or in any articles i ever read. I have actually never heard of that before. Is she confusing eating and swimming? (which is also a myth). I agree with the previous comment that maybe…

  • I am going to be a teacher so I have to get a degree. Education is the most important thing to me (after family obviously) and I will never stop going to school. If I can afford it I definetely plan to get a PhD.
  • New York Times bestselling author.
  • Current....student. Job I am going for.......teacher. Dream job.....author.
  • I am......working hard to like myself. I am......getting healthier. I am......in love with my husband of 16 years.
  • Im a cheap skate (+ since I am losing weight I dont want to spend a lot as I go thru different weights on my way to my goal weight). I go to Walmart or Target. They actually have cute stuff.
  • I take Hair, Skin and Nails multi vitamins with Biotin (suppose to be good for hair growth although Im not seeing a difference), Calcium (because I dont get enough with my food) and Omega -3 (because I dont eat fish). I have to take calcium and Omega -3 twice a day (morning and nite) and Hair, Skin and Nails 3 times a day…
  • All so very true. I still have my FB account but i never post and love this site so much more!! Positive thoughts and words everyday.
  • I love Ripped. I can make it thru an entire workout but only by doing the modified version. I wont move to week 2 until I can do week one at the advanced level....hopefully that will be soon.
  • OMG glad I wasnt taking a drink when I read this, it would be all over the computer. Too funny.
  • Congrats. I look forward to the day I can wear my original rings and not the one I wear now that is several sizes bigger.
  • That is awesome. That IS a big nsv!!
  • Smoothies might work, IF I can keep my daughter from making them and drinking them herself lol. They are her favorite and she usually uses up all the ingredients before I can get any lol.
  • I always get nervous when its time to weigh. This is because I let the number that I see dictate how I feel about myself. I am only weighing once a month. This may not be right either but at least Im only depressed a few days out of the month not several days a week. I am trying to learn it is just a number and should not…
  • In my area the 99 cent store carries produce. Maybe let go of the big bag of sugar and get a little fruits/veggies instead? Look into food closets also because $50 for groceries is so very low. They may be able to help you. We go and it is nothing to be ashamed of. Some months we have no money for food and we are a family…
  • I have been on MFP about a month or two and have been doing really well. It took me about 1 year to lose 15 lbs because I didnt work out and yoyo dieted. I want to lose 40 lbs by May. Yep, I do work out but need to increase it.
  • Thanks. I think i will stick to the once a month. But maybe it is a good idea to get all of my measurements too. This may keep my mind off of the scale too. I think MFP only has neck, waist and hips. I need more than that to get a good sense of total inches lost right? What measurements are good?
  • Or Whipped Cream Vodka and orange soda (diet is good too)....tastes like a 50/50 bar. So good. And working out today too makes good sense.
  • I got Ripped in 30 and most definitely recommend it. It also comes with a free meal plan! It is intense. It is set up as a 3-2-1 system which is excellent for weight loss. 3 minutes of weights, 2 min cardio, 1 min of abs. I love it. Was super sore first three days but kept with it and it got better. There are 4 workouts…
  • Until I got on here I gained and lost the same ten lbs. Very discouraging. But I am super motivated now to get to my goal and not continue to yoyo. I have too many reasons to lose to not stick with it and do better. Good luck
  • AMAZING. Good job on your hard work!!
  • I am 5'1" and small boned. I look and feel good 105-110 but my body likes 113-115. So I fluctuate between those weights. Now I am up to 155 and hate it. Working hard to get back to my size 2s. Some ppl said I was too skinny but my thighs still touched and I had a stomach pouch that I hated and looked into liposuction for.…
  • Dawn...I do and dont like it. I do because it goes with my first name pretty well. I dont because my first and last names are so unique it would have been nice to have a unique middle name to go along with em.
  • Thank you. I did week 1 again today. I agree and will stay there for a few more workouts. I am doing the easy modifier for week 1 anyway so I have room to grow from there to the more difficult modification.
  • We have all had those. Dont beat yourself up. Start fresh in the morning, try n stick to calorie goal on MFP and workout. Dont think that having one or two days of overeating is a reason to give up a new healthy lifestyle. Just get back into it.
  • I have several reasons!! I actually printed them and posted them on my mirror, next to an old skinny picture of myself so I can see them daily. I graduate in May with my BA My daughters getting married in May 20 yr high school reunion Family reunion 3 drawers of practically new jeans I havent been able to wear for 3 years…
  • Luckily I was home when I learned the hard way that when the commercial says "may cause anal seepage" they were not wrong. I dont usually tell ppl because its a little embarassing but wanted to tell my experience because your bathroom is so far away at work that I wanted you to be aware of the danger. Sure if flushes out…
