somewhat yes, yesterday was my first rest day for the year. i usuallly exercise every day for a min of 30mins and my usual rest days i consider to be walking and not running. once i offically start strength training i think i will try harder to make more rest days. how many rest days per week in your opinion is idea?

interval training my dad (who is a serious marathon runner) suggested to me for increasing speed. he suggested running fast from one powerpole to the next, next powerpole jog to it, then next one at increased speed again. over time this will build up your speed :)

luckily he forgot to mention lunch and dinner times. haha. im hardly go on facebook now, go mfp!

i used mapmyrun dot com before i found mfp. great if you are wanting to track distances for running walking etc and have a calandar to see how you are progressing.

it surprises me that people with a low bmi feel they need to be on here. can anyone give me some insight? for what reason do you feel you need to lose weight? i do also agree that bmi isnt much to go on at times, ie certainly if you have low body fat and are very muscular. i will check out some of the websites posted…

actually just recalculated mine on a different website and its 25.4. my goal is to be in the middle of the healthy range so 22-23 would be nice. @stacey - many people on MFP would relate, you are here so things can only get better for you :)

thankyou for posting this topic. seeing that others try to burn lots of calories pushed me today. i burned 410cals this morn which is a good effort for me
-
well it certainly is a good distraction to get away from food and it is helping us work towards our goals of a healthier lifestyle. i think i would spend at least two hours a day on here at the moment. going on holiday early january and there will be no internet! how will i cope??? lol
