I am an RN & I work both 8 & 12 hour shifts. I have always wondered how much we burn running around with not even enough time to eat, pee, etc.! :wink: I never stress on going over on my long work days, but I notice I am under on those days(sometimes) because I run out of time...IF I have the willpower to avoid the buffet…

Good Morning! The Zumba class that I am going to is on Thursday, I got called in to work today due to the hospital being short staffed. Hi Team Pink! For the challenge this week I am going to go to a Zumba class at the gym. I have never taken a class because I feel intimidated & clumsy! So I am going to break out of my comfort zone & attend the class. Wish me luck! :wink:

^^^^Good advice! Everything that I have read about BMR is that you should NOT eat below that number for your NET calories. Personally, I think we should all burn our scales. (yes-I am still a scale-addict) :wink:

Hi Everyone! I just turned 37 this month & have had enough with the weight creeping on. I returned to school 3 years ago to become an RN & the scale just kept going up & up. :ohwell: I now work on a cardiac unit & want to be fit & healthy so I can be a great example to my patients. Also, I want to feel good about myself…

A big, beautiful salad with lots of color, add a 4 oz. chicken breast & a little light dressing (or none). Healthy & filling, then if you don't want to go over I would suggest you put down your backpack full of rocks & head out the door for a brisk walk/jog. There...problem solved! :wink:
