Oops, you're right, it's 1000 calories per day. To see what MFP has calculated for you go to Home and then Goals.

I'm no expert, but here is my answer. If you want to lose 2 pounds per week, you need to expend 1000 calories a week more than you eat. Let's take me for example. WIthout exercise MFP says my body uses 2150 calories a day, so to lose 2 pounds a week I would need to eat 1150 calories a day. If I don't exercise, I just eat…

I did the same thing yesterday! I decided it would be a "cheat" day because we were going out to dinner, but I ate WAY too much and 10 hours later I still feel sick. I'm not worried about the calories, I know the weight will come off. But I learned I need to stay in my calorie goal if only to feel healthy.

Cycle 100 miles a week.

No names, but I have a 2006 Specialized Allez which I bought used a year and a half ago. My commuter is a 1986 Centurion that I bought new. Last year's goal was 100 miles a week but I broke my arm in a crash in June so I lost the summer. I will try again this year; probably about half on the road and half on my rollers.
