You might have to measure at first to get a true sense of how much a serving size is. Once you have the hang of it you can start estimating a cup, a half cup, ect... I always over estimate my calorie intake and under estimate my exercise. This seems to work well for me.

Don't let that feeling discourage you. It will take longer than a couple of weeks to look stronger. However, can I ask, do you feel stronger? I was once told that when you fatigue your muscles they swell some. That may be what you are noticing. I do think you must feel better, right? Usually that feeling is what keeps me…

OMG! That is hysterical! Bad, bad, bad, but very funny!

I completed day 1 of level 2 today and love it! I did all 10 days of level 1 consecutively and missed a day yesterday because of the 4th and too many commitments. It started off difficult but by day 6 level 1 I felt pretty good. Today, however, was wicked hard! I thought I was going to throw up! But, I did it and feel…

Yup, totally understand how you feel. I am doing the 30DS too and am on day 4 today. I have switched between level 1 and 2 so I don't have to hear Jillian say the exact same thing over and over again. However, I do have to force myself but once I do it goes really quick and at the end of the half hour I feel fantastic. I…

"I'm just not that into you". We're over. :)

Somewhere inside yourself you have the strength, you know you do. You can't rely on someone else to help you, you have to dig deep and pull it up. Talk to yourself as you would to someone you love and want the best for. When you wake in the morning, ask yourself "who am I, what am I going to do". It is in your power and…

I'm happy with being average. could be a whole lot worse!

persecuted minority. I am a re-formed smoker. Haven't smoked for over a year. When I did smoke I was conscientious and considerate. I now am hearing how different towns, cities and states are passing these laws that severely overstep our right to make choices that may be harmful to ourselves. I know the argument will be…

Wow! I needed to read this. I know this feeling, but it's been a while. Thank you.

That sounds yummy.

Do they camp for fun???? I would think the polite thing to do would be to either put the adult toys away for a bit or give them your room and you sleep in the toy room. They are your elders after all and should be treated with the upmost respect.

That makes me giggle!

Exactly. Don't be harsh, just start again. Don't look back, look at what you're doing now. Move forward.

When I was little my Grandfather made a drink for me called Switchel. It is an old timers drink used when they were haying the fields. It is made of apple cider vinegar, ginger, a sweetener (VT maple syrup, honey, sugar...your choice) and water. Some even would add oatmeal. I still make this for a summertime drink…

Be gentle with yourself, but force yourself to take that step and the next step and so on. Do not listen to that voice in your head that says, "but I am so tired and just want to go home". Tell that voice to shut the heck up and take that turn into the gym parking lot. When you get to the gym, do something that feels…

Try focusing on what your eating and making sure that your choices are healthy and are kept in the range for weight loss. Working with children, I would assume they need exercise/play time, you should be right in the thick of it. Jump rope, hola hoop, hop scotch, play toss, basketball, jungle gym....lead them in the play.…

Remember the month of naughtiness? Give yourself the same amount of time of being good and see if your body starts to respond. Patience is one of the most important things I have learned this time around. I'm not as young as I used to be and life has a way of screwing things up. But instead of getting frustrated, try to…

You're just being a little impatient and I understand that feeling completely! I started the day after Christmas and have exercised everyday except one. I have eaten close to my calorie allotment everyday. I have lost a total of 4 pounds as of today. I keep reminding myself that it is real weight loss, not the weight loss…

Yum! Can't wait to try the yogurt drizzle and the avocado and cucumber with vinegar. :)

Your children will grow accustomed to eating differently. Start by hiding vegetables in your recipes by chopping them up really small. Also if your child likes even one vegetable, always serve them that with others available. Eventually they will get sick of the one they always like and will eat something new. One other…
