Once a week, lose or gain, and no, when you gain it does not report that on your wall, thank goodness

I've been gaining weight around my middle for years so don't think I can blame it on menopause. Sorry to hear about your hips, knees & feet. Have you considered swimming? Great cardio workout without the joint stress. Don't know if it's an option or not but thought I'd throw it out there. As for tips - I can commiserate…

Had mine for 3 days and love it so far. Potentially "duh" question about logging exercise - somewhere (I think it was MFP) I read that you have to put your exercise start time into MFP for the fitbit to record accurately - do you also put your total time in? There are places for both when logging exercise.

Yup. I'm 197 and use a Polar HRM and I consistently burn about 600 calories at Zumba. Love it!

LOL. I just lost it. It does explain it all.

Oh man - an angus roast - yummmmm!

OK - I'm convinced. I need to add more water to my day! I'm such a diet pepsi-aholic (yes, I know, absolutely no reedeming value at all, but I love the stuff). My goal for the coming week - 64 oz a day!

My DH and I eat it every weekday morning - we put apples, nutmeg and maple syrup. I also like it with craisins, pecans & maple syrup. If you haven't tried steel cut oats I heartily recommend them. Take longer to cook but really tasty. You can make a big batch over the weekend and then microwave during the week.

Congratulations! You must feel so great! You can absolutely lose the rest. Inspiring.

I love the Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches. My current favorite is the peanut butter chocolate one. 150 calories I think (might be 140)

So far I think I'm doing really well. While my food choices haven't always been the best, they've been much better than they would have been in the past and I've gotten off of my butt! i've added exercise at least 2 times a week and sometimes 3. Which is 2 or three times more a week than I have been doing in the past 10…

I am in awe! What a fantastic victory! You are an inspiration.

I agree about the specialist running shop. I went to one recently and was amazed at the service and the care they took in fitting my shoes. I'm not a runner but I'm turning into a walker. Have to so I can make it through the Komen 3 Day that I signed up for when I obviously must have been under the influence of something -…

I'm 54 and a cook too and there are just some things I'm not willing to give up. In fact I blogged about it on Sunday. It is all about lifestyle change and choices. But I do beleive it's possible to lose weight and get fit and still enjoy life and not become obsessive - OK maybe just a little obsessive. :) Looking forward…

Absolutely. Nothing goes better with chocolate cake.... Seriously, I love milk. Have always loved it. I drink skim now (even with my cake). Osteoporosis runs in my family but when I had my bone density test done I was told my bones are denser than most. Don't know if there's a correlation but it's a good enough…
