Pardon my ignorance, but what IS cardio acceleration? OP, not a great idea to start slamming people if you want helpful feedback. Just a thought.

In for discussion. Just today I asked someone "Excuse me, do you mind if I give you a couple of pointers on your front squat" and his reply was "Yeah, sure". Now his squat is much more upright

Well thanks for playing ginal59, but what you've inadvertently done is PROVE that calories in, calories out will determine weight loss. <800 calories a day. SMH.
-
No, but presumably she's tracking her macros to maintain a keto diet; that would give you a calorie number as well, as a byproduct.
-
She seems to avoid answering how many calories she's eating, too. I can't imagine it's very many.
-
Err, what model is it? And your router? Cos it's been a long time since I've used a standalone one of either ;D
-
What is your average calorie intake ginal59?
-
Unfortunately, you don't get to decide what fitness means to everyone. And 10 miles a day is hardly strolling around, and more than adequate to aid his weightloss.
-
Dem legs
-
Why isn't it cardio? Is walking 10 miles over the course of the day not more taxing on the cardiovascular system than NOT walking those 10 miles?
-
If the exercise is new as well as the diet, it's possible your results are being masked with water retention. Fear not, it takes time to get started.
-
Unless you're on a really ****ing epic bulk, I can't picture you really being fat :P
-
I personally would say no to losing any more weight. But, do whatever makes you happiest.
-
She called you overweight? As in that person in your profile picture? Overweight? I commend you for not falling into a heap on the floor, laughing at her.

Morning all. Hi. I've eaten over 200g of carbs a day for the last month, a large portion of which come from bread, chocolate and energy drinks. I lost 9.7lbs last month - pretty much in line with my expectations based on assumed calorie deficit.

Bzzt.

The Eleven Satanic Rules of Earth;* 1. Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked. 2. Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them. 3. When in another's lair, show him respect or else do not go there. 4. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy. 5.…

Thunk Thunk Pllllflffrrrtttt

Actually I can't be bothered. Blame the trolls.
-
What was your calorie intake? Humour me. For this specific question, let's assume quality of food was the key factor. Was it 2000? 3000? 4000?
-
For yourself, and I, perhaps optimisation is a concern. But I think your time spent on this forum should make it apparent that most people just want to lose some weight, and don't really care for the science or faffing around with numbers

I would recommend push press then. Being able to complete a part of the eccentric phase and a full concentric phase beyond what you can do in a strict press will help build strength.
-
Yes, CI can be affected by obtuse factors like excretion and poor metabolism, but it will never become a larger amount of energy than it contains. That's really poorly worded but my head hurts so screw it :P And that's really the point - factors can and do affect both CI and CO, but at the end of the day if CI is less*…
-
But humans can only gain energy from eating. So as long as you use more energy than you're eating, mass will decrease. If we could absorb energy from wind or sunlight, then we'd have a problem with CICO being invalid.
-
As an aside, what else have you tried to break the plateau? I do a set of push press every week when I know I'm close to breaking into a new OHP PR.
-
I almost agree with you, but I would say energy balance, and thusly sheer caloric value, comes first because it at least provides a basal approximation for what should cause a change in weight, whereas the macro partitioning will have more widely unpredictable results across a wide demographic.
-
What does that have to do with CICO ?
