  • That is awesome! Have so much fun at your wedding! I just got married in May and it is a wonderful time, so enjoy every second :) PS. I love your profile picture!
  • Yes! 25 with a kitten and puppy...newly wed with no human babies =] Getting back on track after losing complete focus after the wedding and gaining about 5-7 pounds since May!
  • Life gets in the way sometimes but you can get back on track!!
  • As far as exercise calories go...I eat some of them back if I feel hungry and don't if I am satisfied. Like today, I only ate 1300 cals and had a tough work out. My 1300 cals were all filling and I don't feel hungry so I am just going to call it a night and go to bed =]
  • I've dealt with this issue my whole life. Water water water water...it is SO important (for many reasons), staying hydrated is key for regularity. Also, increase fiber with beans, fruits, and veggies like others have said and maybe even consider using a supplement like Benefiber in your water a few times a day. Probiotics…
  • It sounds like you are making great, healthy choices. I completely understand the scale frustration...I am actually going through something similar myself! I agree with Jeff, you should definitely skip weighing yourself every day. Our bodies fluctuate so much on a daily basis and if seeing this fluctuations discourages you…
  • I do this ~once a week: -Around 1 pound of boneless/skinless chicken breasts (raw or frozen) -1 jar of salsa (any kind, my favorite is Newman's Own Black Bean and Corn) Just put the chicken in the crock pot before work and pour the jar of salsa over it. Cook it on low until you get home! Shred with two forks and then you…
  • At the beginning of the week I hit the grocery and pick up a few essentials: 1) berries: strawberries, blackberries, raspberries 2) bananas 3) avocados 4) cherry tomatoes 5) chicken breast 6) salsa 7) sweet potatoes 8) onion 9) string cheese 10) greek yogurt 11) quinoa 12) black beans 13) one snack item...usually wheat…
  • I have never understood the "we are the only species that drinks milk from another species" argument. We are also the only species that can read, write, solve physics problems, enter space....? Just because no other species drinks milk past infancy does not mean it is necessarily harmful. If there are more scientific…
  • that is a wonderful feeling =]=] I remember losing weight senior year of college and trying on some dresses from high school and dancing around my room when they fit!! Congrats!! Keep up the awesome work :drinker:
  • The same thing happened to me a few years ago. I lost 18 lbs from September-February and was feeling great about myself! I remember trying on old clothes with my mom and dancing around my room because I was so excited that they fit and looked cute. That Summer through Fall (I know, Summer Bikini time!) I gained it ALL…
  • I just put "General Dancing" for about 45 minutes (if it's an hour long class since you aren't dancing the entire time). Using a HRM would be ideal but I do not have one so I just don't eat back all of the calories they allot since it might be a little high.

  • whole wheat tortillas with ground sirloin, a little cheese, and some taco sauce and hot sauce...simple but it was what I threw together with leftovers =]

  • that is AWESOME! edit because I wasn't finished and accidentally hit "post" :grumble: Anyways...that is wonderful, I was excited when I ran for 20 minutes straight at about the same pace...I would be stoked if I got to 30! Gotta keep working I guess  Keep up the awesome work!
  • Wow your story sounds exactly like mine! I was doing well before the holidays and seriously cannot get back on track now!! I've gained about 5 pounds and keep telling myself I am going to get back on track, lose those 5 pounds, plus the 8 more that I have been telling myself I need to lose for months now. I do well for a…
  • haha!!
  • 1. eggs 2. fish (halibut, tilapia, and mahi mahi) 3. Greek yogurt (chobani, plain with berries and honey....or a flavored kind if I am at work at the cafeteria) 4. pita pockets for stuffing with turkey, homemade chicken salad, ect. (I like Kangaroo Salad pockets, 90 cals) 5. peanut butter for a treat =] (on apples, rice…
  • ZERO :grumble: Lost 18 lbs (158-140 at 5'4) and STILL a 34DD. I really wanted to be a nice, full C because DDs are hard to find bras, swimsuits, etc. However, it looks like they are here to stay.
  • My mom has severe IBS (gets such bad stomach aches she has to use a heating pad after eating just about anything, she has gone through the gamut of tests and no one can really figure out what is wrong). Anyways, she is seeing a doctor who specializes in severe IBS and has been told to cut out dairy among other things AND…
  • really awesome progress!! you look great =]
  • new day, new start! Everyone has those days and one day/night of bad eating isn't going to "ruin" anything unless you let it keep you off track! Get back to it and you will be just fine
  • Absolutely unacceptable. Leave him, you deserve better!! In no universe should your significant other ever make those kinds of comments to you...he does not truly love you if he "can't touch you because of your body". Find someone who loves you and can't get enough of your body, you deserve that!
  • homemade chicken salad: canned chicken, light mayo or avocado, veggies (i like onions and jalopenos), pepper....I mix a bunch up and then I portion it and bring it to work to put into a pita pocket with some yogurt and berries on the side or maybe some portioned out chips :) It makes enough to eat a few days in a row.
