Honestly, I had to go down to a athletic shoe shop and get fitted. I tried on several pairs but the asics blur33 shoes felt best on my feet.

I didn't start seeing results until I began strength training. If you're not sure where to start, there are tons of free workout plans on bodybuilding.com. I've heard good things about 5x5 Strong Lifts, New Rules of Lifting for Women, and many others. I also add circuit training in my workout, super sets, triple sets,…

I have always ate pretty clean, but what has REALLY been helping me recently is eating gluten free (I accidentally discovered I have an allergy to it, causes many things like bloating, migraines and arthritis for me) LAY OFF THE SALT - I use Mrs. Dash for everything now, I've given up my garlic salt and hot sauce (2 things…

What helped me overcome my fears and get over my feelings was that I'm doing this for ME! I stopped caring what other people thought about me, and I like to think if people are staring at me it's because they are thinking "Damn, she's working real hard! I wonder what she'll look like when she reaches her goal?!" because…

I've lost nails from hiking with a 70lb pack for 3 days, it took about 1 yr for them to grow back in - it was from boot camp and I was wearing... jungle boots - I changed socks regularly but still had a lot of blisters and lost some nails - everyone did. It could be from distance running I'm guessing.

Just started this. I've been fluctuating between 3 lbs (my body thinks it's starving, so it's trying to get fat again) so I upped my calories: my TDEE - 500 which is right between my BMR and TDEE Plus, over the course of 2 years of eating between 600-800 calories MADE ME FAT (don't judge, it was the prescription drugs I…

I just wiped down the doors a couple weeks ago! I wipe them every once in awhile with a magic eraser (the parts where hands touch and dirty smudges around the door knob, I also magic erase the door frames and entryway frames, my kids like to grab on to while turning corners in the house). I also purchased a Kirby last…

I'll have to tell my brother, he resides in LA!!! Oh how I miss CA, just not the traffic.

I also put a scoop of cacao powder in my protein shake (post workout) DEFINITELY curbs chocolate cravings

sugar free gum really helps me - it's gotta be minty.

ETA - don't worry so much about the calories, the macros are where it counts ;)

I didn't start seeing results until I increased my protein. I also do a lot of weight lifting so protein does help performance.

Going to check it out. Nothing has been as good as Tapatio. I love trying all kinds of hot sauces. I like to make my own salsa verde and authentic salsa. I grew up in southern CA, so I know how it's done. Yes, lime and cilantro included. :drinker:

My entire family loves Tapatio, even my 4 y/o

I lift 6x a week, cardio 4x - would like to go pro eventually. Would like more friends who lift, as I'm a newbie at this - with only 2 months under my belt. NROL4W - yeah yeah yeah... I'll get to it eventually - right now, I can only afford the FREE stuff.

Ditto. Well done everyone :flowerforyou: I haven't reached my goal yet but once I do I'll be posting here!

My suggestion would be to bake the chicken/beef yourself and slice it up in your sandwich. Season as you like, it will probably still be lower sodium then prepackaged lunch meats.

Wow, you look so much happier! I'm also 5'3.5 with about 40-45 to lose. You look awesome!!

I'm also on phase 3. I've lost 5 inches off my waist and a 1/2 inch all over. skip to phase 2 and 3 - much better. I started her program on phase 2 and just did that 2x instead of doing phase 1. But there are tons of other training programs on bodybuilding.com that you can try. I would like to try New Rules... or any other…

I eat eggs twice a day. Mostly egg whites mixed with 1 whole egg. I have my own hens so after a few days my fridge is chock full of eggs. Love them eggs!

I'm still a newbie at lifting so the first month I started off at 12 reps, the 2nd month 8-10 reps, and now that I'm in the 3rd month I'm doing 15 reps. I think when I am done with these 2 competitions I'm in I'll go back to 8-10 reps. Same as you, I'm constantly increasing, I do have to use more caution with my back (an…
