I will just pair mine with my iPod. Should I sync with myfitnesspal? Do I enter my food here or on the Bodymedia site? I always use a Polar heart rate monitor when I exercise and enter it here. Do I continue to do that or do I stop logging my exercise? Which would be more accurate? Thank you so much!

I am expecting my Bodymedia to arrive tomorrow. I hope it works as well for me. Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your help! I have been using a Fitbit Ultra for about a year but I don't think it is accurate. I noticed the other day it wasn't counting my steps right. Sometimes it only picked up about 55-65 out of every 100 steps. Another time when I tested the Fitbit it picked up 127 steps when I only walked 100. Maybe…

I use my Fitbit to get my TDEE, usually 2000-2100 unless I exercise a lot. Today it will end up around 2500. I try to stay no more than 500 calories below that. For some reason I don't do well with a larger deficit. This has produced the best results for me.

I used my average total calories burned according to my Fitbit and subtracted from that number. I make sure I eat a little above my bmr but below my tdee. My average tdee according to my Fitbit is around 2100 and my bmr is between 1375 and 1475, depending on hitch calculator I use. I try to eat between 1500-1600 calories…

I have a Polar FT60 and I love it but I found a better, cheaper option. I think the most important thing is to make sure it includes a chest strap. They are way more accurate. I bought the Polar H7 chest strap from Amazon a couple of weeks ago. It was around $60 I think. It does not include a watch but I use it with the…

Thank you both, that helps. I think I am going to stick with between 1500 and 1600 for a month and see how it goes. Thanks again!

I love my Fitbit and my Polar FT60 heart rate monitor! I have a much better idea of what I am burning each day. Two best purchases I have made. The Polar comes with a chest strap but I purchased the sports bra with the built in chest strap. I love it, highly recommended!
