The poster clearly stated 'vegan'. If you think this is funny, you are wrong.

I joined a gym last year because I loved their group fitness classes. I can tell you that in the fitness classes there was every possible body shape, size and level of fitness. Also it is a women-only gym. It also had a few co-ed locations that I visited occasionally and never felt uncomfortable. When you are at the gym, I…

Eat 1200 burn 500 through exercise nets 700. The math works but it may be difficult to drop to 1200 per day while workng out at that intensity

I try to stay grain-free mostly and feel better than ever. I started reading Wheat Belly and stopped. I couldn't read something, supposedly written with medical evidence, that tells you to cut out honey and use sweetners like splenda. Artificial sweetners are just poison. If it came down to using honey or splenda, use the…

This website has a lot of good recipes. It isn't a 'gluten-free' site, but it turns out that nothing has gluten in it. www.detoxinista.com I've made a few of the grain-free baking recipes and the paleo pancakes. all were really good!

I've got the Jillian Michaels Shred and Shed. I've heard it similar to the 30 day shred (also a JM DVD), but I haven't done it. You can get Shred and Shed on YouTube.

A former Coke Zero fiend here. Gave it up, and all fake sugars (nutrisweet, splenda, sucralose, etc) on June 1, 2012. Lost 5 pounds, feel much better, and never going back to drinking/eating fake sugar. After reading Boost Your Metabolism by Jillian Michaels, I swore off fake sugar forever. I've started to love and…

I make a pasta salad, based on a recipe by kiddie food writer Annabel Karmel. Its great, adults and kids love it for lunch. http://www.annabelkarmel.com/recipes/lunch-box/turkey-pasta-salad My kids won't eat the tomatoes and green onions, so I've switched it out and put in one diced red pepper, and 1 diced mini cucumber,…

thanks for the thoughtful post. I'm just curious, what happened to your pituitary gland? are you talking endocrine problems, hormonal problems making it difficult to lose weight? The weirdest thing is i had the exact same before/during/and after pregnancy weight stats. I'm been struggling with the last 10 pounds for over a…

Seeds are a good alternative to nuts. Sunflower or pumpkin seeds.

make them smaller! 12 large muffins make 36 mini muffins. cut the butter in half, and add it back in unsweetened apple sauce. there you go. then divide the recipe into 36 servings.

you're right, weightloss is less calories in, and more calories out (burn). However I believe quality of calories counts for a lot. Processed foods, fried foods, unnatural foods, these could offer you the 'correct' number of calories, but your body knows it's junk, and if you are eating some 'junky' calories, your body is…

I also took a quick peek at your food diary.... Where are the vegetables? Start adding some (but not starchy ones like potatoes), and limit fruit to 2 servings a day. Fruit is good for you, but can have a lot of sugar. Also cut down on the bread/pitas/taco bell.

What's wrong with having a little piece of good quality chocolate? If you love it that much, why would you try to never eat it again. I think the key here is portion control. buy the best, smallest chocolate you can find, and enjoy. Don't store mini chocolates or buy them in bulk, and you won't be tempted.

Cardio with resistance training will create a calorie burn that goes on for up to 24 hours after working out. So, you workout, burn the calories, but the calorie burn continues. That is what I was told by a trainer and bootcamp instructor. That being said, I think if you don't eat back the net calories, you will just reach…

Its important to log it, and move on. Tomorrow is a new day!

I followed the calculation in the book to figure out how many calories I should be eating to lose weight, and it came out at under 1300. this sounds low.....is this normal? Did I do something wrong?

Hi, I'm 34 years old, just bought the book last week, and I'm on the diet and exercise plan. I'm not overweight at all, but after having 2 kids (last one born Summer 2010) I find that my old clothes do not fit right, and i just need to lose the extra 10-15 pounds to take me from a size 8 to a 6 or 4. I'm currently 135 and…

Everyone who says "talk to your doctor" is right. but make sure you have a knowledgeable doctor and consider getting more than one opinion. I have had 2 kids, i wasn't overweight when i got pregnant, and i gained about 40 pounds with each one (and lost it, almost all...) anyway, i have some friends who were quite…

I think every mom feels like this at some point.... you can't change him, only the way you react. Maybe try to find ways to work out that doesn't involve depending on him to "watch" the kids. Try taking your kids to the playground, make it a workout for yourself! do some pull ups on the playstructure, push up, sit ups,…
