When a friend tells you are an inspiration cause of all the weight you have lost. It felt great cause I have always looked up to her. It's nice it to know she looks up for me for certain things. :-)

This is me to a tee. I would tell myself the exact same thing except I'm a girl. I should have talked to those guys in high school. I remember wanting to be just like the "cool kids," However if you look at what they are doing now, I am glad I was never like them.

That's awesome! I just recently got married and I have to update my badge too. I would have thought they would have just reissued it with the same picture. However, they said I need to get an updated picture. I'm pretty excited about it because the picture is 3 years old and I have lost weight since then. Yay for new ID…

Thank you for making me laugh out loud in my cube today at work! Best medicine ever!

Congrats on your 2 years of maintenance. Thank you for sharing your insights.

I push mow my lawn and it's absolutely flat. It's not much of a work out for me. Therefore I just log it as walking because that's what I am doing. However, I would log it as you see fit. Your yard and yourself is different than me and my yard.

11 pounds = an average housecat!

I read this post this morning. I thought it was amazing of what you did despite what the doctors said. You worked hard and earned it. You are truly a success story and a good motivator for others. I read a lot of the success stories on here, but never reply because I know I am not saying anything different than what the…

Clothes that I used to wear actually look good on me again. I also like that I feel like I accomplished something when I finish working out. Not everyone goes and run 3 miles at one time.

How did everyone do for their weekly goals? I wanted to walk 60,000 steps last week. I ended up at 62,000 steps for the week! Way for goals!

I had a friend tell me that I shouldn't lose any more weight. We were talking about working out and she just randomly said it. At that point, I had lost about 8 lbs. Of all my friends, I am one of the skinniest of the bunch. Not saying that I am close to being skinny, but you know what I am saying. I think it's because…

My goal is to walk 60,000 steps this week. I already got 15,000. I am on my way there! :)

I love this! When I got a puppy. I had a pretty good treadmill routine at that time, but after I got Red that routine went out the window. I knew I needed to play with him and give him attention. I didn't want to have dog that sat in his kennel all the time. That's no life for a dog. My excuse that at the time was I need…

I run with my puppy too! Red is always so full of energy that it helps to bring him along to wear it off. Red used to run from the side of the road to the other. It really didn't matter cause we run on country roads, but it was annoying. One thing I did was to keep Red on the left side of the road with me was to keep his…

I love eating at Panera Bread. Everything there is so so good. Today I stopped in to get a sandwich to go for lunch. After I was done eating it, I went to log and I found out it is 830 calories!! More than 2/3 of my daily calories. By lunch time I had already gone over calories for the day. I'm assuming their bread has a…

I have seen some people get a pedicure as treat or a new outfit that they have been wanting.

I agree with this. I never ran ever, but always wanted to do a 5K. C25K program is a good start. It really builds up your endurance to running further. I completed my first 5K last fall. I felt really good running the 5K. I plan on doing a few more this year as well.

What gets me off my butt is the compliments I get when I am getting results from working out. For example, one day at work a guy came up to me and said "I'm not sure if I can say this or not since we're at work, but you look skinnier." That guy knew that I run on a regular basis, but he had no idea that was trying to lose…

Very cool! Thanks posting! I don't have HRM either. It's nice to have a base of what to track for excerise. Even though it could perhaps be on the low side. I rather say I'm burning less than actual than reporting more than actual.

This one shirt that I kind of looked like a corset but isn't. It is just a different kind of shirt. I got it almost 5 years ago. I wore it that summer and after that I couldn't fit into it anymore. I have always kept it in hope that I could fit it again. :-)

Oh that is so random. I got engaged in February and is getting married this October too. I'm currently working on slimming down for my friends wedding in May. Then I'll be working to lose some more after that for my own. :-) Congrats on losing 10 lbs so far. Keep up the good work.

I got engaged 3 weeks ago. My plan is this fall to get married. No official date set yet though. Just trying to get figure what venue we want to have our wedding at and see what dates are available. However, right now I'm not sweating for my own wedding quite yet. I am maid of honor in my friend's wedding in May 2014,…

I drank water instead of pop and tonight I'll be starting 30 Day Shred. :-)

I always try to think of the quote "When you feel like quitting, ask yourself why you started." That is what keeps me going. There is a reason I'm want to get healthier and get to a lower weight. That is my motivation.
-
I am doing the same thing!! I am Maid of Honor in my friend's wedding. The wedding is this coming May. I want to lose about 20 pounds for the wedding. I have lost 4 so far. We should totally help each other.

I am in Wisconsin so I have been going through the same weather. I can't wait to get outside to run again. I would run outside but there is so much snow and ice that I rather avoid it. Right now I have to settle by running on the threadmill, which isn't quite the same. One way I do cope is that I have my outside winter…

I have too been interested in getting one too!! They look cool and it could be something to do at home easily. However, I wish I could try one first before buying one. They aren't that expensive, but expensive enough if I try it a few times and don't like it.

I love the Biggest Loser too! I love how much motivation I get from the show. If people who weight 200+ pounds can do some serious workouts, then so can I at 160 pounds. But anyway, I thought the same thing about Rachel. She walked out and her legs just looked like skin and bones. I said to myself that i would hope she…

This is well put. :-)

I have friends like that too. Even before I started on MFP, two of them who have always been bigger in size than me, would tell me I'm not eating enough or am to little in size. However according to my BMI, I'm obese. My friends and I love going to Olive Garden. Everytime we are there, I would eat a small portion of my…
