Hi! I'm happy to make new friends. Have used MFP in 2013 to lose 44lbs. Now using it again after shock of type II Diabetes diagnosis. Tracking carbs, sugars and calories for my life! I'm 45 and live in the U.K., log daily. Add me if you like. I'm super supportive. :)

"American Gods" by Neil Gaiman, fantastic book, picked it up after loving his book "Neverwhere"

I count everything, I log every single thing that goes in my mouth and also double check that the entries in MFP are correct as per labelling (as a lot are not especially sodium contents), I have a small set of digital kitchen scales and weigh everything including lettuce leaves LOL. For me it has worked as "guestimating"…

Happy to friend, been on the journey since January 2013, log and post everyday without fail, very committed. :-)

If you look now like your picture then you don't look sickly at all..pfft! Maybe try toning to change body shape at this point rather than more weight loss? Not sure if you are doing weights or anything but it might be a different route to the final outcome you want.

Right, now 2 weeks with zero movement, scales staying exactly the same. I need to shake this up!

Well done! Looking fantastic and healthy! I have lost 41.3lb in 7 months and 2 weeks exactly :-) Feel free to add me as a friend if you want, I log daily, open diary, on track for Christmas. Go you!

I use digital scales and have used the same ones since starting in January, don't weigh anywhere else. It also measures water content and body fat estimates, so I love them. I find if you have a very small loss the digital ones will register that wheras the other type it can be harder to read small increments.

I buy pre-cooked fresh chicken breast slices, some chicken breast (I do about 120g), half a bag of mixed salad leaves, whatever other salad you want to toss in and some low fat salad dressing like Caesar or another fav, most of these lunches for me come out at under 200 cals easily and I make a MASSIVE BOWL for myself.…

Well you are not alone Camilla. I have done 1200 cals a day since January 5th 2013, MFP allocated me more but because I don't do hardly any exercise due to a back injury I stuck to 1200 cals, I have lost EVERY WEEK since January slowly and surely, I have now lost just over 41lbs, I never put my cals up, some days I only…

Thanks everyone, I do weigh and measure everything I eat and drink and always have. I will give it a few more weeks and try to do some more light exercise as well and see what happens. I might look at adjusting my calorie intake goals as well to a slower rate now I am over halfway there, I think MFP ups me to 1360 cals a…

I am doing it so I can dress up and look like Katy Perry at a Christmas Party this year

Hi there, I started in January 2013 after many other failed attempts, I don't exercise due to a back injury and was quite heavy when I started (207lb), I have had my calories set to 1200 since January and have managed to lose something every single week, even with no exercise, I stick to my 1200 calories and bulk up on a…

I nearly always eat at night and it has not hindered me at all, I have lost nearly 40lb and started January 2013 and have lost something every single week. I often eat up to midnight as a late owl. I do make sure my late snacks are healthy, I have things like: Low Fat Yoghurt Carrot & Celery Sticks with Salsa Rice Crackers…

Hi, personally I was surprised that I don't need to do low carb, on average in a week according to MFP, around 49% of my daily food intake is from carbs (all types including veg) and I have consistently lost weight every single week since January 2013, nearly 40lbs gone, I also do not exercise at all except for a little…

Looking healthy and fantastic, well done!

I swear by my food scale, it's only a simple one that measures the weight and I do weigh EVERYTHING, this made a big difference, I found my guessing at the right amount was WAY off on foods like cereal, vegetables, fruit. So I have a simple counter scale, battery operated with a removable dish and weigh everything - salad,…

I am 5"5 and aiming for 135lbs but this might be too low, I will reassess as I go along and am happy with my shape and size. I have lost just on 39lbs since January 2013, on track to lose the rest by Christmas 2013.
-
I have lost all my weight since January 2013, a steady loss every week, I can't exercise due to a painful severe lower back injury, I try to do maybe 30 minutes walking per week, that's it. I eat really healthy and have been on a 1200 cal diet since I started and have never gone over that. My body is changing shape, I have…

Fantastic weight loss and body shaping. Well done!

Sultanas and pineapple is nice....or for the more savoury chopped chives or spring onion, even diced celery is nice for some crunch factor.
-
Hi, you can add me if you like. I am 41, have one 13 year old son, married, started my weight loss on January 5th 2013 and have lost just over 35lb so far. Active on here and very committed every day. :-)

That was for InkSyrup....LOL, my net took ages to post the comment!

I think it depends on you as a person, for me I am very all or nothing, so if I let go for a whole week and ate just anything I would probably go off track after seeing demotivating results. I have lost something every single week since January this year, an average of 1.5lb a week and I don't exercise due to severe lower…
