  • Hey, I'll join, I'm 26 and 208. Hoping to go under 200 by the end of this month though!
  • Totally agree with this, if you aren't into videos then I wouldn't waster your time. Personally, if I enjoy a certian form of exercise it becomes more like a hobby than a chore and I'm more inclined to stick with it. I like the 30 Day Shred, but I also go to the gym, go walking and have recently re-started tap dancing with…
  • This sounds like a great plan! How long do you interval train for on the treadmill? Tansyf- I'll keep you posted on my progress, let me know how level 2 is, I'm curious since level 1 is pretty tough! xx
  • I have less energy if I don't eat my exercise calories, so usually eat at least half of them. I like the idea of having all the extra burned calories by not eating them (as gisii does!) but this doesn't work for me in practice... Good luck with your weightloss everyone!
  • I did day two of level 1 this morning, my legs and shoulders ache from day1 level 1 (i did this on Monday!). Can I ask, are you all still doing other froms of exercise too? I've been walking and going to the gym as well...
  • I think River Island tend to be 'smaller sizes' anyway- and I totally know how you feel, I've lost and I haven't even noticed any changes to my body, let alone anyone else :grumble: hopefully we'll both be able to see some difference soon though!
  • haha! I love running to Eye of the Tiger and the Final Countdown. I caught myself smirking in the mirror at the gym this morning as I was jogging to these tracks!
  • I'm not sure if it's available to the US but I've downloaded Ministry of Sound Electronic 80s and Running Tracks from iTunes. Running Tracks especially good for cardio especially running. I'm slightly embarassed to admit that I am addicted to the Glee Season 1 soundtrack at the moment! :blushing:
  • Wow, I'm so jealous, that's such a good idea! I work at the University and our students keep bringing us cakes and sweets, we have had to store a few boxes of chocolates in the filing cabinets as we have so much at the moment!
  • I did D1L1 yesterday- I'm sure the nieghbours who live in the apartment below me didn't enjoy me doing jumping jacks... I though I'd hurt more today though, but I'm ok so far, just a little achey... perhaps tomorrow I feel the effects more....
  • Hi all, After reading your previous topic thread you've intrigued and inspired me to have a go at this DVD too- I'll get my copy from the library tonight! I have no idea how often I'll do it. I live in an apartment block- hope I don't get compliants from my downstairs neighbours for all the noise upstairs!! :noway:
  • Great question, i'll be interested to hear what resources other people use too! I find Women's Fitness magazine really inspiring as I get bored quite easily and there are always new exercises or recipes to try!
  • Sunday is fine with me too!
  • Don't beat yourself up about it, and definately don't feel like a failure because you're not at all!! You've made healthy choices with food and you're getting back into the exercise today. Keep looking forward and don't be too hard on yourself! And I'm sure you'll look amazing in your dress in November!! :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks guys, I guess i'll just have to see what happens next weigh-in!
  • I prefer the eliptical, and I always burn more on it than the treadmill. I suppose you can get more of a full body work out on the eliptical than the treadmill since you use your arms too. I normally only use the calorie count on gym machines as a rough estimate, especially when there is no function to enter your weight,…
  • thanks for the advice!:flowerforyou:

  • Thanks for the translation!!
  • How about vegetarian lasagne? I make up a sauce using tomatoes, onions, peppers, mushrooms as a base, then adding in chunkier veg like courgettes, aubergines, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans etc. I usually grate some carrot in to make the sauce a bit thicker too- then season. Sometimes I add a hot chilli pepper for a…
  • Hi. I'm from Manchester- also sent a friend request!
  • Hey! Happy 21st hope you have a brilliant birthday! Seems a hundred years since I was 21 (actually only 5!) I like to drink either vodka with diet coke or slim tonic, gin with slim tonic or white wine spritzers I've heard that the clear drinks, spirits or white wine are least calorific if you have them with diet soda etc.…
  • All your dogs sound so cute! I really want to get a dog but as I live in an apartment block it wouldn't be fair (or allowed!) When I move into a house I'll definately be getting a baby Westie! At the moment, I have a hamster, she's golden brown and called Bridget! She's pretty cool, and can do a couple of tricks too!
  • Thanks! Enjoy your meal! :flowerforyou: And thanks everyone else for your comments!
  • The exact same thing is happening to me tonight too! I'll be interested to hear people's suggestions on this....
  • I do the same as you- sit at my desk all day, but walk to and from work- and I log it as extra exercise too!
  • haha! I couldn't get the momentum going last time I went on it- people were probably laughing at the spectacle I was making of myself! Oh well, can't be as bad as falling off the treadmill (yes, I've done that too!)
  • Mystery solved!!!- it's called an 'ascent trainer' http://www.matrix-fitness.com/products/ascent/A5x.asp Thanks for your suggestions- yes the cardio wave is a bit girly!!
  • Don't beat yourself up about it. I had a bad day yesterday, ate a whole bag of kettle chips, plus chocolate, plus some wine. I woke up feeling guilty, but then thought to myself, I can feel miserable about having lost my will power and blowing all the hard work I've put it, or I can get over it and start again today. Don't…
  • I'm from Manchester! There are a few Brits on here, but it's predomincantly an American site I think...:drinker:
