Here's the thing: eating right, eating whole foods that meet all your nutritional needs, is the BEST way to eat, for weight loss or just for general health. Adding in a workout, about 6 days a week, or at least 3 hours a week, is also advisable. Do you NEED shakeology? NO. Do you need a beachbody DVD? No. Absolutely not.…

I would be concerned, if I was considering this product, that the only clinical trial I can find about it used 8 test subjects. That doesn't sound like very many. It's also disconcerting that most "ambassadors" don't tout a healthy diet and exercise along with their product, which implies, if even inadvertently, that the…

It's all accurate. Just pick a time and do it at the same time every time you weigh, which should be no more than once a week. Either always first thing in the morning or always last thing at night. Your weight DOES fluctuate that much over the course of the day, and as you sleep.

Find a goal. Measure your "trouble spots" and make a goal. In 1 month, lose 1/4 inch, in 3 months, lose 1 inch...whatever. Make a goal. Make it measurable and attainable. Also make mini goals to meet along the way. Find a support group who are going for the same or similar goals. Perhaps a program is right for you. P90X,…

Hummus: this is chickpeas (garbanzo beans) and tahini (sesame paste), pureed until smooth. You can make it more inexpensively than buying it, you just stick all the ingredients in a food processor--but making it or buying it--either way it's still a decent food! I use it as a dip for vegetables. My favorites are celery,…

wear dark clothes unless you like wet t-shirt contests. wear poly socks, not cotton, as poly will wick and cotton will keep the moisture on your feet. don't bother with gloves. I wouldn't bother with knee pads either, especially if there's a swim or any deep water. Do wear long pants tho because you will be crawling over…

I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that your activity level for was how you burned throughout the day, exclusive of exercise. So, your switch makes sense at 60 calories more, that is what the tool is allowing for a whole day of more activity. I think exercise is viewed separate from that by the tool, and…

I think those weight charts are completely irrelevant! Each person is an individual, and needs to have individual goals.

I'm 5'1" and 39. I had started at 133 and had my goal weight set at 120, and I reached that, but I still feel like there is more to lose, especially in my back/love handle area and in my stomach, so I'm going for 115 for now. I think your goal weight is a very individual thing. You have to decide not only what you want to…

I've kind of plateaued too. I just started a nutrition challenge of 6 weeks of clean eating. I'm using Michi's Ladder and eating 90 percent of my daily calories from tiers 1 and 2, and up to 10 percent from tiers 3 and 4, and nothing from any tiers below that. I'll let you know how it goes! I can tell you after one week I…
