  • Thanks. There is nothing in the book about age being a factor but my guess would be the older you are the closer to the 12% you could be.
  • I am in the process of becoming an IFTA certified group exercise instructor and our text book says that the healthy level for essential body fat in women is 8% to 12% for women and 3% to 5% for men. > 38% for women and > 25% for men is considered obese. This info is taken from Fitness Professionals Handbook Fith Edition
  • I do not know if eating boosts your metabolism or not but I do know on mornings where I have a lite breakfast (bananna or bowl of cereal and tea with honey) and work out I have more energy and endurance during the workout. I burn more calories on these mornings and I have a feeling that it is a result of eating breakfast…
  • If you weren't refering to me why did you quote my post?? We went to hedonisim to look because we were curious and drunk. LOL!! As for my comment about flaunting it I believe in modesty. Unless your body is rock hard or supermodel perfect nobody who is not your spouse wants to see you naked. I weigh 124 and I am 5' 4" and…
  • I don't "sexualize" it. I just believe that some things should be covered up. I think the same thing when I see people wearing clothing that looks to tight, and nasty on them. The "have they looked in the mirror" thought goes through my head. I for one take pride in my body however I don't think it should be shown to the…
  • Don't laugh when you see grandma and grandpa naked! Don't try to push the beached whale back into the water because it is really a large naked woman or man sunbathing. If you are nude please don't walk behind the couple getting married on the beach because they really don't want your boobs in their wedding photos.
  • We went to Negril for our honeymoon 11 years ago and I went topless and weighed like 100 LBS at the time. However, you will find that 99% that do go without clothes on the nude beaches should really being wearing them. We stayed at Sandals resort which is right next to Hedonism. We decided to venture onto their property…
  • I always take the weekends off. Infact if you look at my diary I don't even log my calories those days. And when I go on vacation I take the week off. I have done this since starting and do not think it has hindered my weight loss. I think eating is like exercise in the fact that if you do the same thing over and over the…
  • Yes you can get one with out a chest strap. However, the one with the chest strap feeds a continuous reading to the watch. You will find that the one without a chest strap only reads occasionally when you touch it and then uses the average of those redings to figure your calories burned. When I bought mine I only…
  • Get rid of all of the junk food in the house and replace it with healty snacks such as a veggie tray, cut up fruit and greek yogurt. If the bad food that you binge on is gone so is the temptation. Also remember that fat weighs less than muscle and don't focus on the scale so much as your measurements and how your clothes…
  • I stay around 1200 a day and rarely go over except on days when I exercise really hard and even on those days it is hard for me to go over. The Keys are eating low calorie foods. Think fruits and vegetables and lean protein. I also cook every meal I eat. I hardly ever eat out at a resturant. Not only does it save me money…
  • It is not really a compliment but when I tell people about the weight I have lost sometimes they tell me "right now I hate you. (with a laugh and a smile of course)" And I usually respond with "well I envy you because you still get to eat things like cookies and carbs and don't spend 2 hours a day in the gym." I then…
  • Are you drinking enough water? Dehydration can lead to dizziness.
  • I go the all natural route to add flavor to my water. I am not big on processed anything. I make green tea and drink alot of it instead of plain water. There are tons of health benefits of drinking green tea too. I also spice up plain water by adding mint leaves, cucumbers, orange slices, lemon or lime slices to it.
  • #1 you need to drink water, period! Try flavoring it with cucumbers, mint, orange or lemon slices if you don't like the flavor. #2 stop buying processed food. I am an avid Dave Ramsey follower and I too live on a very strict $300 a month budget for groceries, for 4 people and this includes paper products like TP and paper…
  • I make ice tea with green tea and here is how I do it. Bring water to a boil. Turn off water remove pot from burner. Add tea bags and let steep for 30 minutes. I have found if I let the tea bags boil the tea will get bitter.

  • I didn't read all of the responses but your boobs aren't getting bigger you are just getting smaller under them and cup size is determined by subtracting your band length (the measurement under your boobs) from the measurement around the fullest part of you breasts. Here is a link from Womens health explaining how th…
  • I never hit the allowable carb count. I am always over on protein though and I lost 17 lbs from November 1st to March 30th.
  • How much water are you drinking? Alot of time we feel hungry and we are actually thirsty. Try drinking a glass of water when you feel like you need to eat and see if the urge goes away.
  • Thanks for the info. I also stay away from sugars and limit my carb intake. I eat my pecans raw and I limit myself to about 1/2 cup that I measure out and put in a bowl on the counter to snack on during the day.
  • To increase my protein intake I have a protein shake everyday. I make it with 1 cup of berries (I mix blueberries and strawberries) 1 cup of almond milk and 1 scoop of vanilla whey protein (I use the brand from Walmart.) This drink only has 5 grams of fat and 28 grams of protein.
  • The Staples in my house are: Almond Milk Bananas Tomatoes Avacados Onions Spinach Romaine Lettuce Sweet potatoes Broccoli Brown rice Black Beans Cheddar cheese Tortillas green tea Boneless Skinless Chicken breasts Ground Venison (we kill and butcher ourselves) Pork Tenderloin (from Sam's Club we cut into chops ourselves…
  • I find Spandex offensive.......but a nice fit naked body no way! If you have it show it off!
  • Since I started to track my calories I avoid all fru fru coffee drinks because they are so high in sugar, carbs and calories. Not to mention if you go the sugar free route all of the bad things that are in synthetic sweetners that you shouldn't put in your body anyway.
  • Yes, I feed them to my lab all of the time. If my chickens crack an egg or lay a strange softshell egg I feed it to our dog raw.
  • I scramble them and feed them back to the chickens. The chickens love them and they are great for them to eat.
  • I for one like water but when I want a change I drink lots of green tea!
  • Is there any way you could pack a cooler with your food in it? You could make up some salads in tupperware to eat on the go. Make up lettuce wraps to eat and pack some almonds, berries, fruit and hard boiled eggs as snacks. This is what I do when I travel home to visit my family.
  • I do! We grow: tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, peas, corn, carrots, mustard greens, collard greens, okra, green beans, squash, carrots, onions, watermalon, cantelope, honeydew, all kinds of herbs and I have a backyard flock of chickens for fresh eggs. I freeze and can my summer veggies so I can enjoy them year round.
