Feel free to add me... I have been running for about a year and a half and was never a runner. I am running a 15k a week from Sunday and debating on making the jump to a half marathon for the fall.

I have the following: http://www.camelbak.com/Sports-Recreation/Packs/2012-FlashFlo-LR.aspx I really like it... it holds enough for a 10 mile run and is not really heavy. I am still in the process of getting used to it and the last time I used it I had a hard time keeping it tight. On the camelbak website you can see a…

I found this site and have been following it. I am debating doing a half marathon in October. I am doing a 15k in a few weeks and this training schedule helped me get there as well. http://www.marathonrookie.com/half-marathon-training.html This one I also liked - I just had a hard time finding time running 5 days a week. 4…

Went on vacation and slacked a bit last week... but hey I got to watch Nik Wallenda walk across Horseshoe Falls in person... Ran 3 yesterday and 3 today... Total for the month 35.

I would get your shoes checked out at a running store. I was getting pain in my toes - where my toes and foot meet specifically - when I ran more than 4.5 miles. I needed a bigger size in shoes. My feet swell a lot. I ended up needing a whole size bigger instead of a half size bigger.

3 today... 12 for the month!

I also hated running too! I decided that I needed to step up my activity level... walking was just not cutting it. I did C25K and still did not like running. What kept me going was that I was liking the way my body was looking and I was so impressed with what I could do after every week. I remember thinking wow, I just ran…

I also had problems with my toes bothering me when I ran - they usually started to hurt around 4.5 or 5 miles. I ended up needing to buy a shoe that was a whole size bigger than I normally wear for running. I had read that you should get a half size bigger and had done that. I ended up getting my feet fitted at a running…

I don't have much more to add - I agree with everyone who has posted so far... I was total non runner, decided to do couch to 5k because I felt like I needed more than just walking. I was also bored with walking and figured the intervals would help keep my attention. Now - I am training for a 15k and am thinking about…

3 miles on Tuesday... 47 for the month!!

I debated doing a bridge to 10 k as well and then just decided to add 5- 10 minutes to my run times. I didn't want to go back to the run/walk intervals. I tried 35 minutes, then 45 minutes, and then I did do a big jump to 60 minutes and was fine. I run 3 times a week(usually) and do a 30 minute run, a 45 - 60 minute run…

I used ease into 5k by bluefin apps. Loved it. After the program is finished there is also a 45 minute run and 60 minute run if you want to try and do more.

Go to a running store and get fitted... I had done a good job of what type of shoe to wear however I was about half a size too small. I even went half a size bigger than I normally do, but I needed to be a whole size bigger. I am using brooks right now. While my feet are not wide, they are a little wider than normal and…
