I know what you mean! I want to hurry up and magically be skinny. But the it is worth the wait to lose the weight :-) and when weight is lost slowly it is more likely to stay off, good luck with your journey

5'4" My highest was 185 which was last year around the holidays. I was at 178 when I started MFP, am at 162 now and would love to be at 120

if you are tracking weight loss it is important to weigh yourself the same time of the day each time you do it

I throw in a "spike" day every couple of weeks where I eat about 2500 cals a day and it hasn't hindered my weight loss at all, and i have heard it helps prevent your body from going into starvation mode if there are days through out your week that you consume considerably under 1200 cals. as far as I know there isn't anything you can do about excess skin without surgery, generally you only get alot of excess skin if you lose weight really fast
