I have made my own kefir and love it. I am waiting for some kombucha mother from a friend. I haven't tried it and I'm a little freaked out but I hear it is good and easy to make. I eat fermented saukraut. I'm on the gaps diet so there is a lot of fermented food. I don't love kim chi but I keep trying.

You have a lot going on. Be gentle with yourself and take one day at a time.

That's my approach. I've had people assume I was pregnant. Nope just have fibroid tumors that make me look 6 months pregnant. That usually shuts them up. I did have a client once ask me when I was due (I WAS 7 months pregnant). I told him I wasn't pregnant and he turns 30 shades of red before I let him off the hook and…

Ya. You're probably right.

My chihuahua puppy. Perhaps she'll deafen them with her bark, disorienting them long enough for me to get away.

It is a battle. I believe there is a PCOS group on here. You may find that helpful.

You need to move to Creston. They don't do daylight savings. The highway dept has to keep moving the time change sign. It's pretty funny.

I Heart Huckabees. I was promised it was a laugh a minute. I guess I'm not intellectual enough to get existentialist humour. Shhhh don't tell anyone but I also dislike The Wizard of Oz and Sound of Music.

GASP! There oughtta be a law!

I think my boys could give you a run for your money. They are 15 and 13 and still spend A LOT of money on lego. I keep telling them they should buy stock in the company instead.

Yummy Bump!

It's a non-issue. It is a photo of boobs doing what they are meant to do, nourish a child. Society has sexualized them. Breastfeeding is a beautiful thing, a natural thing and anyone who doesn't like has the problem. I get so frustrated when FB bans photos of breastfeeding mommas but doesn't have a problem with smutty…

Yum. Thanks for sharing.

Don't assume that people who do cardio don't do heavy strength training as well.

Oooh I'm so excited. My husband just gave me a garmin for my birthday and we found our first two caches today. My parents started years ago when they were 75 and 80 so we went with them a few times. My girlfriend is a maniac and has over 600. I have two teenage boys and I figure that it's a great way to spend time together…

A Chihuahua Rat Terrier X named Minnie and our puppy is a Chihuahua Satan X named Maddie. Funny thing is I'm not a small dog person but these two picked me and when a dog picks you that's it. Game over. Heart melted.

More often than I'd care to admit. Now they are teenagers there is a lot less left over.

Right back atchya! The weather is awesome and I'm looking forward to walks with my family and lots of pumpkin pie and apple crisp. Yep I'm just skipping right to dessert.

Vancouver area here. Would love some more motivated and motivating friends.

My grandmother was from Newcastle Upon Tyne and she called them scones.

Welcome back everyone who left. I could use some more active and chatty friends so anyone please feel free to add me. I log daily and love to encourage and be encouraged. It's a long road that's for sure but friends can make it fun.

My guilty pleasures are Dog the Bounty Hunter and Most Haunted. These are the shows I have to watch by myself when everyone goes to bed or else they mock me incessantly.

I gained 9 pounds with my first and 6 pounds with my second. I had extra weight to lose and was very sick with my pregnancies. With my second I was diabetic so was on insulin and a strict diet. The great thing with my second was he was 10 pounds 3 oz so I walked out of the hospital at my goal weight. Didn't last long…

I just remembered that our dog who ate the chocolate chips and dog food ate an entire box of jumbo bran muffins in one go. Again the end result was equally traumatizing for me.

Haven't had time to read all of the posts but I definitely plan on it. I don't know if this site has been mentioned yet but it sounds like we could all have some fun with it http://dog-shaming.com/ My dogs have eaten: A wicker basket ($1000.00 in surgery bills) A costco size bag of chocolate chips plus a costco size bag of…

Can't even tell you how much I love that corset. It's going to look fabulous.

I think a lot of us feel that way. The only idea I have is don't throw in the towel; take advantage of the good days and forgive yourself for the bad days. Keep logging on, even on the bad days and stay connected to your friends on MFP (and you can certainly add me). Like my Doctor says even if you lose one pound a month…

My kids were about 12.5 and 10 when I started leaving them home alone for short periods. They were young but they are very responsible kids, they get along well and the neighbours were around. I think it really depends on the kids. I know some kids that I would never leave on their own - doesn't matter how old they are. My…

What a lovely story. Some of my best memories with my husband involve playing in the rain. When you live where we do you learn to play in the rain often.
