  • Be careful! Don't overwork your body. But if you feel ok to do it go ahead.
  • Sophialittle ... that isn't weird that's what I'm doing ... haha! Well actually ... I haven't decided on that or a tattoo on my lower right hand hip but ... one or the other. I'm actually really excited about it... why I'm rewarding myself with pain I do not know.
  • College makes it so hard to do that right? Or is that just me? lol. Welcome!!
  • Heck Yes Giants!!!!! I LOVE THEM RIGHT NOW!! Not a fan of them ... but I hate the patriots so ... I"M SO HAPPY! And I didn't eat anything while watching! Even better!
  • I know exactly what you mean. I'm at college, too and unfortunately it is causing me to slip up alot. For me, I just have to watch where I eat. I don't know how big your college is but we have a lot of different cafeterias ... some with sandwich bars... which I love ... wheat wraps with turkey and no cheese or dressing ...…
  • Lunges are really good. Filled water bottles and cans of soda or soup work for weights if you have them.
  • If you can do reverse crunches then I doubt this will help but it's what I do so I thought I'd share. I lay on my back with my legs straight up in the air, crossed at the ankle, arms at the sides with palms flat on the ground. Then I squeeze my ab muscles so that my butt comes off the floor, hold, then lower. Works for me.
  • O ... and to fit into my favorite pair of jeans ... which I grew out of from the freshman 15.
  • 1. Confidence 2. Health 3. Swimsuit season-- I haven't been comfortable in a swimsuit since I was about 14... I want to go to the beach this summer and look good.
  • Trust me, I think the same thing as you half of the time. It is so hard for me to keep up with exercise, so hard, in fact, I am very guilty of the start/stop routine. I'll work out for all of three days then stop. It's really bad. The only advice I can give is maybe find ways that aren't so "painful." Maybe even invite…
  • My cousin did this and she looks absolutely amazing. She did some school sports as well but she'll swear by walking the dog.
  • I danced at home. I still haven't found a place here in college. As for it being a workout it depends on the type of dance and the teacher. My first school wasn't much of a workout at all. It was easy and really relaxed. My second school I took a hip hop and jazz class and it was more intense. We did ab work and push ups…
  • Thanks for posting this. I always wondered why people say drink more water and now that I know it should be easier to do!
  • Congratulations!
  • I have the same problem still and what I'm doing is for now, letting myself have 2-3 meals a week of those things I crave (hopefully in smaller portions though). And I'm cutting that back as I go. I don't know if I'll ever get to the no rubbish meals but doing 2-3 and then eventually only 1 is a lot better than the way I…
  • This happens to me all the time and this might sound really weird but I grab ice since it's water but I'm still chewing it keeps my mouth busy.
  • That's Awesome! Congratulations!
  • Thanks guys. I love this site already. lol. It's always good to know there are people in this with me. And kjllose that's a great idea. It actually doesn't take long at all because my mom sends it up on the shuttle that runs between her work and my school 4x a day. Thanks everyone!
  • Daughtry. I love them. And for cooldowns I listen to secondhand serenade. He is amazing and really calm me down and let me think. I really need to get some more tunes though.
  • Ok so as you all know I started this officially today. I've been trying to eat healthier and go out partying less (being at PSU it is incredibly hard to do) for awhile now but today I was officially to start actually counting calories. It started out good ... I woke up and did some crunches and leg lifts and things like…
  • Welcome! I just started yesterday and I'm in the same boat as you. All of my friends think I look fine but I think I need to be more healthy in general. Good luck to you!

  • Hi everyone. My name is Nicole and I'm from Hershey, PA. I am trying to lose the pounds I have gained since starting college and a few more but the main goal right now is not to gain anymore-- something extremely hard for me with cafeteria food and my schedule. I could use some help right off though. I'm a little confused…
