I have found that eating smaller meals helps. Also, I reduced how often I eat few high acidic foods (tomatoes, citrus, etc) and do not eat for 3 hours before I go to sleep. Keep an eye on which foods seem to cause an issue after you eat them. Eat a simpler diet if necessary until you have a handle on what causes problems…

You can do this without hitting the gym. And getting your metabolism back to normal will be a great start! I took it slow getting into working out and am still not a huge cardio person, but I love lifting weights. You have to find the balance that works for you :)

Yes, eat the regular amount on non-workout days. This video explains it well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYi9xjIRvbY

If you are doing a reset, that seems to be normal. Since your metabolism needs time to heal and return to normal. 2 kgs is not a ton (about 4 1/2 lbs) so that could also be some water retention too depending on numerous factors (sodium intake, heavy workouts, time of month, etc). I gain about 3-4 lbs after hard workouts…

The one most people seem to recommend (has numerous types of calcuations (some require knowing other things like percentage of body fat. http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/ This is the youtube channel for the Eat More 2 Weigh Less group with FAQs that answer most of what you are asking.…

Yeah, it's crazy how we talk ourselves into the low low calories! Glad you are here and on this journey with us! Feel free to add me as a friend! :-)

Hello, I'm somewhat of a newbie myself (only been following for a month). But I am starting to lose (wasn't restricting for too long). The site that I found my goal on is http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ I have my calories set at 2277 and am still losing (5'6" 218 lbs 3-5 hours of strength training per week).…

I have trouble reaching my protein. I am getting closer with instant breakfast but still not there. Plan on stopping to pick up some whey powder to add to juice and food to up my protein more. It's hard to get that much protein in otherwise.

Because after a rough breakup earlier this year, I decided to focus on me: getting fit and getting a better job.

I hate exercise too, but I love the feeling of accomplishment of going and kicking some butt on a regular basis. I have arthritis in my knees and lower back pain, but am actually becoming able to use the elliptical and arc trainer (stepper) for longer periods most days. I intersperse the cardio on the different machines…

You can check out my profile to see my pics if you would like. I started strength training first and lost inches, but not weight (plateaued) and now that I added cardio to my workout as well and upped my calories the weight and inches are both dropping at a steady pace and I feel healthier. Here is a website with a…

I get up extremely early to workout (at the gym by 5am). I shower at the gym and go from there to work. It's a pain getting up so early, but it is starting to pay off.

I have been working at this since August, but didn't start seriously logging until recently. I am seeing results in my chest, arms, legs and face... Now I am just waiting for my gut to fall in line ;-) I have a couple pics on my profile of where I started (green shirt) and where I am as of this morning (black shirt).
-
I like to encourage and motivate. I don't just not comment because someone had a bad day or has a closed diary. I would rather people be honest in their logging because otherwise it only hurts them. If I am worried about how little someone is eating I tend to send them a message since some people get embarrassed to be…

I have issues with my stomach once in a while and when I do, I eat more smoothies (made with real fruit and fruit juice, no extra sugar) that is much easier for some reason and I am eating something good for me. I was drinking most of my calories (mtn dew addict) before getting healthy, so it makes sense that I drink…

I am a member of PF too, just started a couple of weeks ago. I go in with my headphones on and do my thing... And watch the eye candy of course... But have not had any issues with jerks yet. Only had one guy hitting on me by "showing me how to use the machine". And the hydro massage table is awesome!

The liquid is not always as refined as the powders and tends to have a slightly bitter taste. I love the powder versions though.
