Awesome job all! Jen, you had a great week. Don't worry about the past, you will be in those size 8s before you know it. Me, I'm in 8s for my Kasper suits, but not jeans yet. My next mini goal is to get to 159 -- at which point I will his a "normal" BMI for the first time in years. Next goal is not to gain weight when I'm…

I would assume as long as you log in each week, the particular day doesn't matter. Great job on your first week!

Just checking in. Hope everyone is having a good week. I must confess, I like the idea of logging in at the end of the work week. Weekends are never my best time. I get outside and am much more active generally than during the week, but it is hard for me to limit my food intake when we have friends visiting or are eating…

One more day! Don't forget to log your starting weight tomorrow. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all a little better over the next 12 week. Good luck to all!
-
Welcome All! And thanks Zanne for starting a thread we can use to keep in touch. Almost everyone had entered there goals. Make sure you put you current weight in by the 4th. Good luck everyone!

Hi Team Forest. My first challenge like this and I'm team leader - yikes! That being said, I'm really excited. I am looking forward to getting to know you all better, and to all of us making great progress on our goals over the next 12 weeks. We have one "place holder" who I don't think is going to join, so if you know…

I've joined the Spring Fling Challenge as well. Good luck to all and kudos on the accomplishments. Even small loss during this challenge gets a kudos. I'm glad to see the scale creeping down instead of up!

Great job!

Awesome goal! Good luck! I'm going to be happy with running only about 100 miles

You might also talk with your doctor about your asthma options. Not sure what you are using for an inhaler, but I am assuming it is an albuterol base since you are using when actually having the problems. If you don't have a longer-acting/preventative inhaler this could really help. My daughter is on Flovent (takes once…

I think this is a great idea (thanks for the referral Jen!). I've got 10-15 pounds to go and I really like the idea of the group motivation and accountability. Thanks for setting this Challenge up!

I did one at Mt. Snow in Vermont (in May, so there was still a little snow, lots of mud, and the water obstacles were cold). I was running 12 miles for my long runs, with several hills along the route, and felt prepared. The entire TM was up and down the mountain and was brutal. If I was doing it again I would run A LOT…

Damn, my credibility is shot ... I love Ben & Jerry's!

Congrats on a great week! Me, I'm up 1.4 lbs again. I was pretty good about following my calorie goals this week, so I was a bit disappointed. On the other hand, I am just not being as diligent as I was in the fall. Committed to getting back on track. My husband joined MFP this week and it is nice to have someone else…

I never had to use a mounting block (I rode mostly arabs and I'm 6'7" so it wasn't too much of a stretch), but then I got my OTTB and there is no hope of me getting my leg up high enough to pull myself up onto her (16.2) without a mounting block!

I had geldings originally -- first two horses growing up -- and loved them. I would have said I wanted another gelding. Life happened, and I now have two mares. They are both wonderful and I have no complaints about their attitudes. I think it depends more on the horse itself then the sex.

I too have slowed down a lot on my loss. Was doing great until December hit. On the other hand, I haven't gained and I am still my lowest in years :-) I also think as one gets closer to a regular, healthy weight, the loss is slower. I don't mind if the last 10 lbs. come off slowly ... as long as they come off eventually!…

Im planning on running my first June 8th. I have no particular advice (just starting myself), but appreciate the answers to you post. Good luck with your training.

Good Morning all. As suspected (see above post), I am up 4.2 pounds to 167.2! Trying to be pragmatic and not freaked out. Hope everyone else is having a great week :-)

How cold? I'm in New Hampshire and simply run on the treadmill in the middle of the winter as there just aren't enough layers for me to run outside if it is in the single digits or below! The rest of the time when it is bearably cold, I wear layers -- long sleeved running shirt, windbreaker, fleecy if needed.

Jen, I had seen that you had been on (I saw a comment on someone's status) and wondered even as I typed if I should wait a few minutes :-)

I am away at a work conference and will not be able to weigh in until Monday. Eating way too much these last couple of days and a bit scared for the results! Logging has gone to hell, but I will get back on track Monday.

It took me just over 4 months to go from 190 to 165. I did slow down a lot and/or plateau for periods of time over the holidays.

Don't worry Jen. Whenever I eat a bit more I am always up even though I couldn't possibly have eaten that much over maintenance! I understand it is the body replenishing its glycogen reserves. It is the same reason most people lose a lot in the first 1-2 weeks after they start reducing their caloric intake. I've seen…

So you were't losing weight, so you decided to eat more? If you want to lose weight, you need to eat less calories than you burn. Eating more is not the solution. I agree with the prior post - track everything you eat, don't overestimate your exercise calories, and if you want a greater deficit eat back only a portion of…

Thanks for the links within the video. I've got Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, but have bent hinting about trying some others so this was very helpful. Great job on your loss!

So I know very little about anorexia. However, it seems to me that calories are calories (and calories are clearly what you need if you weigh 88.6 lbs.). Why not just eat two or three of the mini bagels instead of one? Figure out what you need to eat to gain at a health rate and then track the calories just as everyone…

Damn, that sucks. I paid $9.50 per bale for hay (not alfalfa, but nice quality) brought down from Canada by my local hay guy. He apologized that the price was "so high" as when I buy from his crop during the summer I paid $8.00 per bale. In both cases, the price included delivery (he even puts it up in the barn for me…

Week 1: 167 lbs. Week 2: 167.4 lbs. Week 3: 167.6 lbs. Week 4: 167 Week 5: 164.2 Week 6: 164.0 Challenge loss total: 3.0 lbs. I had a big loss last week, so am happy with a small one this week (I was worried I'd go up a bit!). Hope everyone else had a good week!

I get why you find it offensive, but I too found it funny anyway.
