Hope you feel better! Here's a couple of stories to make you feel better: I have an 11 year old who clearly got my clumsy gene. This fall we were shopping at Target. She was looking down at something in her hand and walked face on into a support pillar. HUGE goose egg on her head and a bruise that lasted over a week :-(…

I did Vermont in 2012. The entire course was up and down a mountain and it was brutal. I was running 10 miles in training, but clearly not doing remotely enough hill work. Do some research on the venue and train accordingly. I couldn't walk right for several days, but finishing was a wonderful feeling of accomplishment!…

I log an estimate of the time I actually spent skiing (not standing in line and riding the lift). If I am undercounting, I'm okay with that. If I really am burning more as some of the early replies suggest, I have no complaints

Congratulations to all. Super loss this week Anne and Jen! Awesome losing 46 lbs. before 46th Birthday! Week 1: 167 lbs. Week 2: 167.4 lbs. Week 3: 167.6 lbs. Week 4: 167 (back where I started  ) I actually saw 165 when I snuck a peak mid-week, but ate out last night so I am sure I am retaining some extra water.…

Week 1: 167 lbs. Week 2: 167.4 lbs. Week 3: 167.6 lbs. Up .2, but I'm getting back on track with my food, exercise, etc. If I count skiing I did 196 minutes of exercise (I counted a day of skiing as 120 minutes). Need to get the regular morning run or workout back to being part of the routine.

250 calories isn't a binge. I agree with the comments about simply moving on and doing a little more exercise if you want to work the weight off.
-
So I think you should start a group called something like "Run with Me." Let us known your total and we'll run the miles (virtually) together :-)

The holidays are really hard for me as well. I'm just hoping not to gain (much)! I don't have any great words of wisdom, but can say that you are not alone. Try to keep logging -- it will help keep you accountable. If you go over, you go over (I have many, many times, by A LOT the last couple of weeks). Tomorrow is another…

Starting Weight: 167 lbs. Exercise goal each week: 150 minutes Other goals: (1) Reach a BMI that is no longer "overweight" (for my height, this means 159 lbs); (2) fit comfortably into my new size 8 Kasper suits (they do run a bit larger than some other brands, so I think this goal is only about 5 lbs away); and (3) more…

SW 183.5 CW 167 Gain this week: .6 lbs Total Challenge loss: 16.5 lbs I weighed in a day late as I knew I was retaining a ton of water yesterday (that time of month). Much better this morning, but still a gain from last week. On the other hand, the 2 lb. loss last week always seemed a bit optimistic as a permanent loss. I…

If you open your food diary it helps people provide more complete responses.

Welcome to the new members! You will find we are a pretty easy going bunch. No threats here that you will get kicked out of the group if you miss a log-in, go over your calorie goals, etc. We are just a supportive group of people who help each other stay motivated.

My goad, before exercise, is 1200 calories a day. Yesterday I was 1288 calories OVER this. While I am logging my meals I think "Holy cow the Longhorn appetizers are high" but other than that I just move on to a new day (I log everything -- no hiding from my choices). I would gain weight if I did this everyday and it…

SW 183.5 CW 166.4 Lost this week: 2.0 lbs Total Challenge loss: 17.1 I have no idea what happened this week. I did not have a great week, but had my highest loss of the Challenge. Hoping it isn't just temporary. 2.9 lbs. to go, which seems unlikely but it is going to be close! Looking forward to the next Challenge.

Yes, yes, yes! I've been thinking the same thing. Maybe 15 lbs. by St. Patrick's Day? Other thoughts for a definable goal?

Christmas Challenge start weight: 183.5 Current Weight: 168.4 Lost this week: 1.0 lbs Total Challenge loss: 15.1 Just 4.9 lbs. to go! I think it is unlikely I'll make it at my current loss rate. On the other hand, I am not giving up. Regardless of the final result, I am very thankful for the motivation this group has…

I just finished Level 2 -- apparently this is more of a 60 day shred for me! Hated Level 2 and looking forward to moving on.

I just bought some new work clothes (suits and some pants). I got them in a size smaller than my currently smallest clothes. However, they did fit -- just a bit snug. I think they will be perfect when just 3-5 more lbs are lost. I wouldn't buy clothes I would have no hope of getting into in the very near future.

I too am doing the Christmas Challenge and am happy to have a new one that will pick up where that leaves off. Currently I am about 169 (weigh in for me is tomorrow), down from 190 this fall. Goal is 163 by Christmas, and I'll add a goal of 150 lbs. by March 1st. Currently, 150 lbs. is my goal weight, although I may…

Thanks for posting :-)

Is it possible he's been doing this all along but it wasn't as noticeable as you had others helping with is care? I have an ex-racehorse who is obsessed with peeing in her stall. Seriously, the stall is open and she has free access to come and go, but she always pees inside. When I clean the stall, the first thing she does…

Awesome job! Good luck with your training! You can do this. I'm in awe of those that can run the full 26.2. I'm hoping to do a half by next fall.
-
I get up at 5:25 so I can get 30 minutes of running or an exercise video in before getting ready for work. Also, bring your own lunches so you aren't as tempted to overindulge at lunch.

Christmas Challenge start weight: 183.5 Current weight: 169.6 Lost this week: 2 lbs Challenge total: 13.9 Just 6.1 lbs to go for the challenge. I think I can do this! Congratulations to everyone that is still here. For those that already lost 20 lbs. -- awesome job, you are all an inspiration!
-
Congratulations! A 10k is awesome.

I would love to help, but I am sure I am not doing them correctly either! I'm doing level 2 of the 30 Day Shred, which has a bunch of plank work. I try not to stick my butt up and to keep my back flat, but I am pretty confident that I am not doing this

Vibrams Five Fingers.

So I got a bit off track this week with some really long work days. Did L2 D2(12) today and I must say, I still hate level 2 :-) Does it get any easier?????

Christmas Challenge start weight: 183.5 Current weight: 171.6 Lost this week: 1.0 lbs. Challenge total: 11.9 lbs. lost Great job to all!

I started L2 today. Hate it! My notion that it wouldn't be that much harder, just different, was soooo wrong. That being said, I figure I can get through 9 more days so no giving up here
