I gave up cafine and most carbonated drinks 2 weeks ago. I did cut down before my final day. For me it worked great. I actully ended up quitting 2 weeks early. No headache nothing. Momma, I have no expert answer to you retiaing water. I am doing the same this week after 30's and 40's last week and 60-80 this week. I'd be interested to hear what others think is causing this. I did get 75 minutes of cardio done yesterday and will do 120 minutes of cardio today.

Try a Gentle Leader. I used this with many dogs when I voluntered at the Animal Shelter when taking dogs out. It took a few days for them to get used to it but boy did it make a horible walking dog into a great dog.
