You do what you do now, you just feel and enjoy it so much better doing it. It's all about quality of life. Get two people to go to Disney for a day, go shopping, just walking the park, playing with kids, hiking or just breathe. One fat one fit.. I'm pretty sure I know who will get the most out of the experience by the end…

Though at 45 not 60 but my weight and height is similar to your dad. 5'7" 226lbs with a 38-40 inch waist to 190 and 32-34 inch waist This took me a year and it was not easy but it was worth it.

To me it's worth it. Yes I love food.. yes I love to eat. As I get older the weight was piling on. It was limiting me. Holding me back from what I wanted to do and go the 2nd half of my life. No one is forcing you to eat it back you know. :) Me personally I don't make it a point it eat the exercise calories back.. But after I do 2 hours of intense cycling, my stomach is growling, hunger pains and dizziness you damn straight I'm eating at least some of these exercise calories!

If I know it's coming I eat very little before hand. I then chalk it up to a cheat day and get back on the program the rest of the week. Gotta live a little right? :) "Everybody dies but not everybody lived..."

I do not include anything I do that got me fat to begin with. I assume they MFP included those activities when it ask you your activity level. I don't log: walking the dog. clean house getting the mail dreaming I was exercising Walking to the Buffet line etc.

I actually still eat the old food I use to eat to get fat. I just eat a lot less of it and exercise a bunch more. So the answer is yes and no.. I do enjoy it I just want more. :)

44, Use to be fit but the last 6 years been sitting on my butt and gained 30lbs. Not feeling very healthy these days so decided to make a change stop living like a fat person.
