Cynthia, Food craving and overeating are often way more emotional and hormonal than they are physical. Not too long ago I posted some tips about why we overeat in another thread. Here's a copy. This article excerpt about: Emotional Eating vs. Hunger-Driven Eating, How to Tell the Difference There are several differences…

Hey there. I just remind myself that tomorrow is a new day and that I can start over. The guilt will only pull you down, make you feel worse and cause you to eat again. Here's an article about dealing with guilt in general. http://www.personal-development.com/chuck/guilt.htm

I'd like to join as well.

February is my goal month to have lost 10lbs as well. My reason is not a bikini, but rather a wellness evaluation for life insurance. I need to be in my Target BMI to get the best rates. I'm 7 lbs away, but I want to have a little wiggle room for bloating, etc.

Hi Tanya, Congratulations on kicking cigarettes! I know you will do the same with emotional eating. Over the past 1.5 months I have cut my emotional eating in half, by using the tips of this website and writing in my blog. I know you can do it too!

This question is right on time. It's my TOM right now. Not only am I retaining water...but I am also HUNNNNNNNGRY! My self control is slipping. I ate a donut and pizza today. That was not the food I had planned. I'm afraid with that and 2 Christmas parties this week I am in trouble.

Wow! This was so helpful. Especially the tips about the Epsom Salt. I never understood why the salts worked for pain. I do have a great deal of muscle. Especially in my upper body. This will go on my list of helpful hints. I really appreciate you taking the time to share this information.

I have used the sticks. I never get to the darkest purple. However, I use them only the first few days to see if I'm actually in ketosis. So maybe I should monitor more closely. Thanks.

Thanks for the advice. I do have issues with blood sugar that require carb control. Even when I am not "low carbing" I keep it under 200g a day. Thanks for looking out for me though.

It sounds like you get the "flu" pretty badly too. What are your symptoms?

Thanks, I'll try that

That one is true. :-)

What is your budget, and what type of marketing are you hoping to do? Determining those things will help you choose the best firm. Many marketing firms have specializations.

I'm up 2 lbs. The only two pouds I lost. Needless to say I'm feeling pretty sad. But I find strength in knowing I'm not alone--and that we are all getting back on the wagon together.

Zumba is a great weight loss tool coupled with calorie restriction. I love it so much because you are burning calories, while having fun. It doesn't even feel like exercise--when compared with running or jogging. You're enjoying yourself so much you barely notice your heart is pumping like crazy.

Hi Wyndi, Nice to meet you. I'm glad you are joining in the conversation. I have really gained a lot of strength to combat my emotional eating by simply writing and talking about it. And don't worry, you're not the only sneak eater around here. I hope we can all be a support system for each other in this journey toward…

Men in Zumba is a-okay with me. As long as you are REALLY there to enjoy the class and not look at ladies. My Wednesday Zumba class has a man who comes with his wife every week. He finds a way to make his moves masculine (because there are lots of girly moves) and people barely notice him. ON THE OTHER HAND. In my daytime…

Hang in there. I know exactly what you are talking about. When I'm on the wagon, I'm really on it. but when I fall off I feel guilty; and all the reasons to eat the wrong things just come flooding in. You have the right attitude about taking it one day at at time, and not letting yesterday's failure make you condemned…

Thanks. It really helped me to think about WHY I was eating. Most of my overeating came when I was anxious or bored. I'd just shovel food in my mouth without even thinking.

I'm doing the same thing! I already input 3000 in for that day, and I've planned all of my other calories, for the rest of the week, to work around that indulgence. It's the only way that seems logical for ME.
