  • Yes, you can @TerezaToledo ! I did write a journey story. I am sitting on it for a few days making sure its what I really want to say.
  • We were challenged in the crushing the diet mentality course to share on social media a nsv. I shared on both my Instagram and my Facebook as a personal challenge to share and not be afraid of people and what they think. Here is what I said: Long caption warning I didn't know what to expect when I turned 30 earlier this…
  • Sign me up for not being moody! Lol. So far so good this month! But that time for me was on vacay and how can you be cranky on vacay? Not me!
  • Weighed myself and was up 6 or so pounds!!! The old me would have either cried, delved into food, or restricted majorly. The new me almost forgot to record the weight! I am eating better today- not as much junk, more protein and I feel much better! Yay me! This is what the #crushingthedietmentality is all about.
  • Hi! I gained 17 pounds during my reset. I thought I could get away with 8 weeks, nope!!! After a cut I determined (with help from these ladies) I wasn't ready. I am back at maintenance and I have been eating here for almost 2 months since ending my cut and working back up to tdee. I haven't gained any additional weight…
  • We can't do it all! The breaks are nice. Do you feel more ready for everything after the break?
  • I think I actually need to weigh myself @TerezaToledo ! I am having trouble getting back into eating at tdee and making good choices. I am not eating enough protein or fiber and my tummy is starting to feel the effects. I used to either restrict or binge without a care in the world. I actually feel myself falling into the…
  • Okay, I am back from 8 days on the road! We stayed with farmers and enjoyed the bounty of their garden. Fresh blackberries right off the bush, chocolate zucchini cake with zucchini from their overladen garden, fresh tomatoes sprinkled with sugar, carrots and green beans canned last year, their honeybee's hunny with bread…
  • It's good you recognize that you have the diet mentality! You also recognize that it's not fat that was gained. Just get back on your eating and exercise plan. No guilt!
  • I have done them sporadically in the past. I do think it's a good idea to do them, I love weight training but I want to be in physically good walking/running/hiking shape but I dont have hours and hours to devote to it. I still want to weight train in a periodized fashion, but I only want to train 4 days a week.
  • How do you get in the rest of your protein?
  • Gonna miss my barbell! Trying to decide on exercise plan when I get back. I wanted to go back into surge but I am not sure when to work in cardio. I need to prepare for hunting this fall. I will be out for a week walking (with a pack and a rifle) for hours at a time. I will try to hike but I at least want to do intervals…
  • The Pacific Northwest- never been! I will still be around on social media some. Sorry, not sorry. This is a working vacation for my husband!
  • Will be gone for a week. I probably won't track as I have no control over most of my food. Going to try to make good choices ! And avoid the scale upon return! ;)
  • Awesome! The kayaking sounds amazing! It's on my list of what I want to do someday!
  • Those 2 1/2 pounds are back so yes, bodies are weird! Lol!
  • This is seriously awesome! Now you know something is going on and it's going good!
  • In other news, after a huge drop this weekend (2 pounds overnight)- my weight has trended back up. My averaged weigjt and my actual weight today is the same as the end of last week. So while my numbers changed everyday, and ranged 3 pounds, that seems consistent....?
  • @empressichel I hope in the spring! If I find out about it in time. :) I would ideally like to watch one first- even a smaller meet or mock meet, but I can't find anything on my side of the state. And driving 4 hours to the big city is costly (gas, hotel, food!) So I can't do that a lot. I still wanna compete, just to step…
  • Here is my squat video: https://youtu.be/keA1Ml1Trm4 It stopped filming after this before I got to my real sets. :'( I wanted to check form with more weight on. I PR'd today at 180# for 4.
  • Wow, you guys are go getters! I read sitting is bad so I traded in my old comfy chair for my bed. Lying down can't be that bad. ;)
  • Love my Chuck's. Looks like I am wearing 2 shades of white socks. One of those are my legs. Lol. I lifted some in 2013, but sporadically and not fueled properly. I got serious last November/December. I switched to sumo probably in December- I find it so much easier for me and I have been able to increase my PRS by a lot. I…
  • Hi @indiab3 ! My story is very similar, trying for four years to lose my baby weight (#3 for me), and my body wasn't having my low calorie, high cardio ways anymore. Please read the stickies, and do a full reset. You won't see physical weight changes right away, but you'll see other changes. Once your body has healed you…
  • Hi Lexi, The links Kelly provided will be very helpful. Maybe you can tell us more about your diet history, eating habits, exercise habits, goals, etc. So we can help you.
  • Thanks ichel! Uploaded a deadlift video, if anyone is interested. I wanted to check my form on all my lifts. https://youtu.be/gpArRYZbpso
  • New day, new week!!! Up quite a bit on the scale today but that's ok! Yesterday we had a church picnic where I sampled almost everything without guilt (didn't go back for seconds so there is a positive!) And had people over for dinner. I made a purty dessert and ate some too. I enjoy, need even, this flexibility. Otherwise…
  • My backside
  • Yay @ambsnic17 !!!
  • Do we use either one @Raynn1 ? Or should I go to the new link?
