That's awesome @rissaroo689 That's not what happened to me, which is a bummer (lol)- but life is still enjoyable with more food and more energy!
-
@scaryann1 Fall came quickly for us too. Had to turn on the furnace yesterday morning, it was below 60 inside. Hope this week is a better one.

Welcome kas @KSwana Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.

You can up your calories more. I don't get bloated like that so I can't help. There may be some ways to help ease the comfort. I do get a lot of pains though, I try to drink even more water. Find a way to get through it- maybe put on a sparkly necklace or earrings to detract from your belly. Or, wear a flowy skirt that…

You are doing just fine @dejavuohlala bump up those calories. Good job on the protein.
-
Yes I did.
-
I will work on that. I think I do brace again. I don't wear a belt, not sure if I should or not.
-
Honestly? Yes. At least for now. Living on 1200 calories is miserable. I think you can change that but its going to take time. Increase slowly. Find something else to put energy into instead of obsessing over it.

I'm so sorry about your cat. Hang in there!

I responded to your update but I'll put it here too. Have you ever checked for diastasis recti? Its common after pregnancy http://www.befitmom.com/diastasis-recti.php If you do have it, traditional ab work actually makes it worse. As far as abs, abs appear with a certain body percentage. And, you may just have to give it…

I still moved pretty quickly on my deads yesterday @heybales I think I was afraid if I paused I'd never get another rep in. :D
-
@empressichel it never used to be this bad. But the last two weeks its constant. I'm not sure if something has gotten bigger? Bust? Back? Shoulders? Did it stretch? Why???? Yes, I need a new one! I will still use the one I have because its fine except when deadlifting or doing barbell rows!
-
@empressichel by only cutting 100-200 calories its so much easier to stay in a cut. And not go back to tdee or more because you feel deprived. After all that talk I was able to get some PRS today :) Squat 4 @ 185#. Getting close to that 200# goal! Deadlift 4 @ 250#. Last time I tried I could only get it up once. The…

Fat is not gained fast. So its not fat. Keep on keeping on.

I'm never sure how much time can pass between reps to still be considered a set. What's the difference between 2 with a rest and 2 sets of singles? Just pondering. I lift because I enjoy. I will consider a powerlifting meet at some point, but its a little tough with logistics. So, no need to get too fancy. :) I would be…

Just keep eating what you are eating now. Move up slowly, 50 cals extra a day. Your body adjusts as you go. When your weight stabilizes you've adapted and can move up a smidge. But be aware of normal fluctuations- water stored after weight lifting, monthly cycle stuff, etc. Don't panic when you see that.
-
Looks good @dejavuohlala I am not familiar with fitbits. But your protein looks better, weight the same. Slow & steady does it.
-
@TerezaToledo So true! I've never really allowed myself to buy nice things. I think I've spent less than 3 days alone since I became a mum. Haven't had a getaway in... 4 years? 6 years? After being underemployed for a long time, it was a habit to be as cheap as possible. Plus, I don't actually make any money. I know I…

The guy at squat university told me that if I can control my speed going down on my squats better it will help me through the whole lift. I could definitely tell when performing the lift that there were some times I was off. There is so much to keep track of on each one that sometimes I focus too much on one thing- keeping…

Thank you @Raynn1 !!! I wanted to click "like," "love,", " inspiring," AND "insightful!" Did some form videos: Squats: https://youtu.be/el5FGvC7K-U Deadlifts: https://youtu.be/k3qJPGJ3UYY

@dejavuohlala forgot to tag you above :)

Welcome @carlene7 Feel free to ask any more questions. I believe on the calculator at the site you can choose to maintain your weight, (tdee) or lose (tdee minus 10 or 15%)
-
It seems like a lot because of where you started. Just because you ate 1800 today doesn't mean you need to jump up to 1800 every day. Obviously you were hungry! You can go back to increasing slowly. My tdee is 2400 and it used to seem like a ton of food, but now I'm all : "damn, have to edit a few things out to get down to…

Welcome @kRiBBiTd , @chellebelle272 , and @carlene7
-
Carol, I would just work on your protein for now. Your carbs will balance out as you up your protein. And once you get your calories to tdee you will have more room to work with anyways.
-
@tj0861 Is 1800 your estimated tdee?
-
I hope the physical change will follow! This whole process is like a dance. A step forward, two steps back. Some of it depends on emotions at a certain time of the month... :) We have been challenges in the #crushingthedietmentality course to clear out all of the clothes that don't fit, have never fit, etc. I thought I…
-
You could add in calories very, very slowly too. Are you wanting to stop all cardio or do you plan to add it back in later?
-
Its okay to not eat more, unless you were starving. If you did that daily or several times a week and you consistently had a higher burn then you would need to up your calories. Do you eat meat or poultry? The easiest way I had protein is by eating more chicken. I will have 6-8 ounces instead of the 3-4 oz servings. A lot…

Thank you all! I wanted to 1) keep a record for myself, and 2) be a real example of what the process is. I tend to think everything will be easy (lol) and I know there must be others like me out there. This is definitely a process. I've been with em2wl for almost a year- my body looks the same. My intake, viewpoint, and…
