@ kiachu Thank you, it's always nice when some other knowledgable person comes to your aid. As it is, was not being facetious at all, it's the gods honest truth that I drink when I'm thirsty, I have days where I hardley drink two glasses of water, and others when I drink twenty, like I said, I know when I'm thirsty and…

It's f'in awesome, I am a lazy logger and e always given up tracking food and exercise, between MFP and my Fitbit I am easily able to keep track of calories in vs calories used. It has issues with ellipticals and spin bikes, to counter this wear the Fitbit on your sock when doing these exercises, I logged my fitbit along…

I've got this crazy little habit, I drink when I'm thirsty and don't drink when I'm not thirsty.

This is a joke right? Please tell me in this day and age that people aren't this ignorant to nutrition. On the same note I've heard cigarettes are the bees knees when it comes to calming the nerves and curbing the appetite. Now I must 52 skidoo out here by gum.

My thoughts exactly, with one addendum, if it is a matter of immediate life and death as in a grossly obese person then I am all for it, my issue is with perfectly otherwise healthy people getting surgery for a simple weight issue.

you are on track, stick with it.

Okay, to take this another route. Why exactly are we consuming a product that most of us don't like unless we mask it with sugar and fat?? I'm sitting here sipping a coffee with only a splash of milk in right now, its bitter, not really appealing, so I got to thinking, why am I ?

I set mini goals all the time. Trying to get ten more minutes on the bike, pushing weights 3 times a week not two, little goals like that keep me motivated.

you know what I love about the before and after pics, they go from "how are you doing" to "how uuuuuu doinnnn"...lol Good work, looking good.

Damn, typing that has made me crave coffee, oh well, to the Keurig.
-
I cut out all sugar and cream from my coffee....Sniff.....lol I now use milk and really not all that fond of it to be honest, on a lighter note, I now drink less coffee. There are coffees out there that don't require masking, Jamaican Blue Mountain for example is great black, expensive, but tasty.

This is just a theory, but almost to the person, everyone on here that is saying they aren't seeing progress has the same basic diet. They all have a severe lack of green vegetables. I went back about a month on your diary and found three mentions of salad, no broccoli or other green vegetables mentioned at all. I realize…

According to my fitbit/MFP calculation I was supposed to eat 3800 calories yesterday to keep my 2 pounds a week weight loss going, I ended up the day at 2161, thats it, couldn't eat anymore, had a great steak supper, wasn't suffering, didn't wake up hungry, I was just full. If you are eating everything you want, healthy,…

The only experience I have is with a Fitbit ultra (high tech pedometer) and a HRM. The results I received between the two were quite close, and comparing caloric burn with online calculators they were also accurate. The Fitbit, uses your stats to set up approximate calorie burn per step taken so it may be more accurate…

Just think of the first weigh in as a benchmark. It doesn't matter what you weigh right now, but most people need a start place to visualize progress. Use the scale as motivation, not as a punishment.

@gauchomark BY exact I mean exact enough for me, obviously Im not in a research lab hooked up to a machine on a treadmill, but from my results, triple, quadruple checking, cross referencing, and researching the hell out of it I guarantee I am within a few hundred calories of what my devices are reporting. Don't understand…

I have no idea just exactly what a Crusty White Bloomer is but reading your diary has made me miss some of the foods I used to love in England, bacon just sound so much better when you call it rashers. Seriously though, I did notice some points which may help accelerate your weight loss. 1: STOP EATING WHITE BREAD...you…

Tape a fitbit to your butt and count the revolutions.....lol

Dude, Im 6'1" tall and if I weighed 189 I'd be malnourished, I'm trying to hit that number but I will definitely be underweight...lol..I agree with the majority of posters here, time to get the muscles built up, there is such a thing as skinny fat, tone tone tone.

If you don't feel shaky come 11 then dont bother, if you do a protein shake may be the answer.

Bewteen my fitbit and HRM i know exactly the calories I am burning. As far as calories, and Im not sure if you mean food consumed or calories burned I find the food to be accurate 90% of the time.

Fibre makes you feel full, hate to say it, but you can shove as much broccoli and cauliflower down your gullet as you like, you will feel full and get great nutrition at the same time.

Get an activity tracker, i.e.: fitbit, nike+ or other

This isn't the place to ask that question. Go see a doctor, its dangerous to get medical advice from laymen.

Stop seeking miracles people. Eat whole non processed foods, workout and don't eat more than you burn, simple. Just keep it simple, eat all the healthy foods you…
