  • I think you need to relax. I WISH I could at least do .5 lbs week of loss... you are doing great. don't give up.. these things take time and you have ONLY been doing this a month... that's tiny.... stay positive and keep your goals in mind.
  • I would recommend going her: http://www.bodybuilding.com/guides/ Setting yourself up with one of the guides. I loved the 14 week Jamie Eason - I lost 6lbs and LOTS of inches. I am doing the shortcut to shred now. If you sign up with email - you will get a weeks worth of workouts each day, nutrition and supplement…
  • maybe they meant PHAT .... Fat compared to a pole.
  • Hi there. I think you are eating too little for first of all, being male and I am assuming you are working out. I can't see your salt and sugar intakes, but I would think with some of the food choices you may have high sodium and sugar intakes. You can adjust your settings to view these two options. to figure out what you…
  • hey hey im north county! :)
  • hi there. ok i entered my info and i would say no. it has me at over 2700 calories and that is crazy talk. it is not taking into consideration my height either.. i highly recommend using this: http://iifym.com/iifym-calculator/ you can use the different calcs to figure out what is best and even the macros you need... add…

  • THIS! You gotta mix it up to get off the plateau Go take a fitness class (zumba, pyo strength or get on a different machine)..

  • THIS! Bodybuilding.com has trainer work outs that are emailed to you every week with all your daily workouts, videos, nutrition plans... I REALLY recommend Jamie Eason's Live Fit 14 week one. It will help you get familiar with the weights.
  • Use this website to calculate... http://iifym.com/iifym-calculator/
  • LOL word.
  • lame on the haters. just move on to another thread of you don't like the topic. oh... and God Bless.
  • I'd recommend kick starting the metabolism with at least a protein bar, shake or fruit smoothie. Eat when you are hungry, yes.. but if you are trying to lose weight - you have to eat right and frozen meals are not the way to go. Lots of salt, processed crap and chemicals. I used to be like that - never ate breakfast -…
  • same here. it is easier for me to do my lunches if it is the same and healthy. Rice, Veggies and a protein - usually albacore or tuna. I would recommend putting different seasonings, dressings with your emails to add change... such as pico de gallo, tomatillo, hot sauce or even Parmesan cheese... Salads typically always…
  • cardio after weights is the BEST way to continue to burn calories through-out your day versus cardio before. Any cardio works... Outside is a must but definitely take advantage of the stairmill, incline trainers, row machine, bikes, and treadmill for sprints! Good luck!
  • need to see what your exercise & food log it to make any opinion. but i would first of all say, take it easy on yourself. :) you got a lot going on and a lotta life to live. stress can halt your progress - so try to take it down a notch - always easier said than done as i am a huge offender! :) key things - eat well and…
  • I think it is a great indication of health when you go vascular. I love it. My shoulders & forearms and hands are very veiny too. I also have a little in my hips. My husband thinks its sexy... now the Madonna pic... uhm, maybe a little too skinny but if I were her, I wouldn't be hatin'... just sayin. :) I would not change…
  • Agreed. I get hungry two hours after dinner - so around 9ish. try the brushing teeth - but it doesn't always help... If I can't just go to bed then.. My options are as follows: If there is NO cals left on my diary... 1) water 2) tea (sleepytime) downside - these options make you pee lots in the middle of the night :) if…
  • I can only drink a limited amount of plain water. I mostly add a lemon, mint leaves, cucumber, orange peel, or add these vitamin powders from Rite Aid (pharmacy store) called Essence C - which is like a generic EmergenC... post workout I use Amino1 - Athlete's cocktail. Pretty awesome.
  • I would agree with the trainer. Lots of sugar and "bad" carbs. Cereal is really a waste of calories. I go with egg whites, protein shake with fruit and oatmeal everyday.
  • Totally depends on your and your body! I hate eating before I workout. I feel fat and sluggish. I rather get up and go on coffee only. Monday: 5 AM Tuesday: 5 AM and 11:00 Wednesday: 5 AM and 11:00 Thursday: 5 AM and 11:00 Friday: 11 AM Saturday: 9 AM Sunday: Rest Day Good luck!
  • hi there. I work out 6 days a week, of which 3 days are doubles. I do weights in the morning with sprints and then at lunch time i do a 40 min run. I can't eat lots before my workouts. It makes me feel heavy and uncomfortable. In the mornings I eat half a banana, cup of coffee with soy silk cream and drink water or a…
  • I think it totally depends on where you start out. If you are already relatively thin and workout, 1200 is probably a little less than you need to burn and sustain energy. If you are pudgy & overweight and never workout and eat like crap, then 1200 is going to rock your world and of course you'll lose weight. That's one of…
  • hi all. i am on week two of this. so far i love the recipes. i definitely wish he included a shopping list. i've swapped out a few things out - tuna in place of the pork and tofu on a couple of salads just to mix it up. the calorie deficiency hasn't bothered me since we can eat as many listed veggies as we want. i go…
  • Thank you everyone for taking the time to respond. I will definitely do more to eat more calories. My friend Deb suggested the same thing. I really appreciate your feedback.
  • Amen, your measurements are way way way more important than the number on the scale!!!!
  • I have this same issue. I have always had a tummy on me. I have toned legs and arms, but I have ALWAYS had a tummy. SUCKS... But I have figured out it is ALL ABOUT DIET NOW - I have to eat very little food (900-1000 cals) and workout 45-60 mins 5-6 days a week. I run or/and lift every other day. When I lost my most weight…
  • mine went away when I cut out processed foods, cheese, breads, increased protein and lowered overall calorie intake to about 1000 cals a day. hard to do but I got that flat belly. mostly ate yogurt, mixed nuts, pure protein bars, salads and chicken. strength training helps tons as does running 5x a week. I gained it all…
