  • Worse haha. I go to the gym 3x a week with a touch of cardio but mostly weight training, My dad came into my room yesterday and asked what time I was going to the gym (I usually go once on a weekend cause I run out of time in the week but had managed to get all 3 after work this week). I said I wasn't going and I felt so…
  • as in grams?...
  • My family's plates were MASSIVE so I started using the side plates (which are probably the size of a normal dinner plate - lol!) but I did find it made me eat less than my parents and I was still full and satisfied at the end of the meal :) I definitely recommend it As for slower eating, it's better for your digestion to…
  • Oooh please do start a blog :) Would be great to keep hold of these
  • Hehe perhaps I should explain - I'm half Italian and we go to Florence every year so I know exactly what food I'll be wanting. I'm not paying for it though and meat dishes are significantly more expensive than pastas or pizzas so I can't just take advantage. Last September when we went I did enjoy a lot (didn't indulge as…
  • Ahhh I see ^_^ Well I'm riddled with all kinds of guilt but I had the pasta and bolognese. My family are really proud of me. I worked a little extra hard on my work out to calm myself about it but it was tasty. Hopefully be able to enjoy my holiday a bit better. Honestly though I don't think I missed pasta as much as I…
  • Do you have a blog or something? Would be great to see these with pics and stuff
  • Do you have any more recipes? :D
  • These articles are a little confusing to me but a really great read! I'm trying to teach myself these kind of things but I never was great at understanding science and such hehe. This was EXTREMELY helpful! Thank you so much for this reply :)
  • Well from eating pasta once I'm pretty sure I won't gain pemanent weight. Also, why extra cardio? My aims are to build muscle, I do the heaviest weights I can stand (not too high but as high as I can take it. eg bicep curls I us 9kg and do 3 sets of 10-12 but with the wide pulldown I use 3x8 at 30-35kg)
  • See earlier in the thread I have had a scan and nothing was seen. And sorry, dpenaloza, must have missed yours! Not had kids though so not that
  • Again, had a scan, they said there wasn't any excess visceral fat. And my abs aren't weak
  • Bloody hell Kirst!! These would be great but a lot of them can't apply (eg, malnutrition as I haven't had problems with food as long as I've had this bloat - same goes for stress). They're all things I've considered but have either dismissed them or not put to the test! Cheers for taking the time to type all that, honey!!…
  • Didn't read my original post where I mention I had an ultrasound?
  • It's good to know I'm not alone in this! I thought there was something really strange about it! I'll see a doc and see what they think. If they're being their usual crappy selves I'll start phasing things out. How long do you think I should cut each thing to test?
  • Yes I thought that but I had quinoa which I believe is wheat and gluten free and I had dairy in the form of cheese (cottage and edam) and milk. I have these things all the time and never notice bloating to that extent. I'd even had milk and cottage cheese earlier in the day and was looking quite trim before dinner
  • Frequency of stomach bloating - I've had this problem as long as I can remember. I don't feel bloated and it doesn't hurt but it feels hard to touch like a bloat does. I do have stomach acid issues but they only came about the past few years so doesn't explain having the distension when I was younger. It's not ALWAYS at…
  • Celiac Disease is present in my family so it could be possible I suppose. I forsee them just saying try going out with a whole host of things one at a time to figure it out. My doctors are very dismissive
  • Yeah you think I should go back? It's taken me this long to figure out I'm not actually fat, my stomach just blows up occasionally and it's one cause of my eating problems.
  • A whole month?! Oh man I'm in for some tough months. Think I'll start AFTER my trip to Italy and just hold my tummy in (like I have for about 7 years) when it blows up. What did yours look like? If you don't mind me asking.
  • Oh trust me it can be. Teriyaki chicken is in a sweet sauce - sugar. Did you have bread? - sugar. Probably processed chicken - sugar. Some of their veg - sugar.

  • I'm saving to get a sports watch with one in, but those HR checkers on cardio machines always have very crazy readings for me. Literally swinging sporadically from 60-140. I have low blood pressure though so I don't think it can get a proper reading from me. I have the same problem with those electric bodyfat readers. They…

  • The Protein Works. Their Whey Isolate is excellent!
  • Perhaps that's it then? My body's usually very VERY cold. My fingernails are often blue-ish grey because my circulation sucks

  • That's really good to hear ^_^ Thanks everyone! Thinking about it I've never sweat that much. The most I ever sweat is during the night. I must have really intense dreams or something :/

  • Oh man thank you! :D Not sure I entirely understand but it's opened on a newer version of Excel so that's thrown me haha
